The space

If you want a large home away from home, this is not for you! But if you just want to stay in a clean, affordable, central, comfortable base in the heart of famous Bondi Beach, just metres from the waves, then this is it! You can stroll down to the sea (beach towels provided) or get to know the cafes and shops that make Bondi a magnet to visitors from around the globe.

Guest access

The security building has a downstairs, basic, coin-operated laundry (or there is a laundromat around the corner). Though Bondi Beach is such a vibrant place, if you don't want to move, you only have to slip downstairs for dinner at Brown Sugar (famous for their fish pie), which does yummy breakfasts too! Book lovers will enjoy visiting Gertude and Alice bookshop-cafe in nearby Hall St.

Interaction with guests

There's nowhere better to wake up than being a gull's squawk from the waves of famous Bondi Beach. You can stroll down to the sea for a daily dip, stopping at one of the many vibrant cafes on the way back, for your morning coffee or freshly squeezed juice. Directly beneath your building is Brown Sugar, one of Bondi's best-loved eateries. For upscale eating you can't beat the Icebergs restaurant, a five minute walk to the south. Ravesi's is a popular bar in Hall St. Fitter folk will love the "Bondi to Bronte" walk around the sea. Just head to the ocean, turn right and follow the coast!

The neighbourhood

We're proud of this lovely studio, which, like most apartments in Bondi, is "of a certain age." In order to keep it appealing, we keep it well maintained. The carpet is only a year old and the place was recently painted. We use good cleaners to keep the place clean and tidy, and the fridge, appliances, cutlery, crockery etc are just a year old. The price for this charming little place remains very affordable as it's for travellers on a budget who want cleanliness, comfort and a good location. There are cafes galore in the area; bookworms will enjoy Gertrude And Alice in nearby Hall St, a bookshop cafe where you'll find something interesting to read while tucking into a bowl of lentils or a turmeric latte!

Getting around

In adjoining Campbell Parade, two minutes away, buses come past regularly and taxis are abundant so it's easy to get around if you don't have wheels.

Other things to note

This studio is a walk up 2 flights of stairs, so not ideal for folk with knee or hip issues! It's also within an old building and of course there is a little wear and tear here and there, that's Bondi for you! But it's clean, comfortable and affordable - it's not pretending to be the Ritz Carlton! Bondi Beach is an expensive, high demand area and if you want to be in the heart of this delightful area and don't want to over-spend, this is the place! We take pride in ensuring the studio is kept well maintained, with little extras like beach towels, tea, hairdryer; we want our guests to have an enjoyable stay.

The perfect stay if you are wanting a room in a lively and hip part of Bondi. True to its description - this place is simple with no added frills. If you are looking for a night or two to explore Bondi with minimal desire to stay in the room than this is value for money!

Location is very good. Beach is very near from this apartment. But the water in the bathtub didin't drain. however host responded immediately. It is recommended for those who are looking for a house at a good location.

Response from Jacqueline:
Hi Shun, thanks for your review. The bath had just been newly enamelled and unfortunately this caused problems in the short-term but thanks for your patience here! All the best for the future!
