A small bespoke and soulful escape located just metres from one of Australia’s most beautiful and iconic beaches. An oasis of warmth…a space to nurture, relax and restore. Surfside at Ryan's Rest provides a lovingly curated sanctuary...removed from the busyness of city life and yet providing (just a short stroll away) access to the stunningly beautiful and vibrant beachside location of Cottesloe Beach - with its buzzing boulevard, pristine white sands and clear, aquamarine waters.

The space
Surfside at Ryan's Rest is a lovingly curated, soulful space just metres from one of the most iconic and beautiful beaches in Australia. The recently renovated one bedroom apartment is located on the second floor in a small beachside, 1960s apartment complex.
Beautifully fitted out, the apartment possesses everything required for an exclusive experience. From the fine 100% French Bed Linen and Robes, Egyptian Cotton towels and high quality bathroom products, to the Bosch, Smeg and Dyson appliances.
A stay at Surfside is not just about its pristine location, but also one that has been carefully curated to evoke a sense of warmth and joy in an oasis of calm.

Guest access
The finer details will be provided in the Guest Companion - sent out prior to arrival, however please note that there are two flights of eight steps required to access the apartment.

Directions, parking and access information will be provided to you prior, however if you aren’t driving then the following detail may be useful:

From Perth Airport, the easiest option is to take a taxi or Uber directly to the apartment. The trip takes around 35–40 minutes and costs between $45 and $60.

There is also an airport train to Perth City, then a transfer to the Fremantle train line towards Fremantle. Get off at Claremont Station and take Bus 102 towards Cottesloe, which stops right in front of the property (name of the stop is MARINE PARADE before Vera View Parade)
This journey takes around 1 hour 10 minutes in total and costs approximately $10–12 per person.

Other things to note
** Our space is a non-smoking zone

** Surfside is part of a small apartment complex, comprised of mostly permanent residents. We ask guests to please be very mindful of any activities that may impose on the peace and serenity of our lovely neighbours.
* Note the quiet times between the hours of 10 pm and 7 am.

** We are unable to install air conditioning at Surfside, however when combining the beautiful sea breeze straight off the water, ceiling fan, quality curtains, 2 heating/cooling appliances, and the capacity for cross ventilation in summer…we haven’t ever felt the need.

** The apartment complex is an older (somewhat dated) building - which truly does belie what rests behind the door of Surfside at Ryans Rest.
