Had an amazing stay. A perfect place to run away from busy lives for a couple of days. Elsa was warm & friendly. Nice walks along the river. Very private & peaceful. 10/10. Will return soon.

A great way to start our married life! The cabin was perfect - secluded, quiet and lovely for a restful few days.

We had a fabulous stay in the well equipped cabin with Elsa thoughtfully providing fresh milk and other items for arrival. The cabin is comfortable and clean with large comfy beds and a good powerful shower. Most significantly we really hadn't appreciated before arrival how beautiful, tranquil and private the setting was going to be. A peaceful haven for wildlife lovers whist within easy reach of Reading and the Thames path. The best of both worlds so much so we were reluctant to leave at all.

What a beautiful cabin. We loved the little touches and all the thoughtfulness - the chocolate sweets, the orange juice and jam and butter left in the fridge. Elsa is a perfect friendly host. The cabin has everything you want - we were sad we only had two nights! We will definitely be back!

The cabin is compact but very comfortable and well equipped. The location is delightful - sheltered and peaceful with lots of space to sit out in the sun. Elsa kindly provided materials for our first breakfast and it was easy to replenish these for the following days. We didn't attempt any more elaborate cooking. We found lots of interest within easy reach and enjoyed two good dinners at the Swan, a riverside pub in Pangbourne a couple of miles away.

I am a friendly easy-going person who loves to cook, read, garden and walk my dog, Demon. But don't be afraid of him. He's very gentle.

My husband, Richard, loves the great outdoors and has convinced me to walk the Dales Way, the Thames Path (in progress) and a number of mountains in the Lake District.

I have travelled extensively, having lived in seven countries. I am always keen to meet people from different backgrounds.

I work mornings in a monastery but don't let that put you off!

Hope to see you soon!
