It is like described, clean and an awesome surf shack! Love the surf boards and hammocks! Charlos is a great host and made excellent breakfast in the morning. Pura Vida!

Charlie was an amazing host. He made our time in Manuel Antonio unforgettable. We explored hot springs, surfed at the beach and he even made us home cooked breakfasts every morning. His place is centrally located. There’s a little store at the top of his driveway and there’s a supermarket 3 minutes from the house at the end of the road. Bars and restaurants are a 5 minute walk away. The area is amazing. The beaches are indescribable. Monkeys come out when the sun goes down on the beach. Charlie was helpful with directions and he was attentive to our needs. He shared tips on where to go and helped us book a tour for the park. We can’t wait to come back. This place is the place to stay when visiting the area.

Charlie's house is a tropical wonderland - from Charlie's smiling face welcoming you when you arrive to croaking geckos in the evening and squirrel monkeys (55 of them!) in the morning, the fun never ends. To add to this, macaws, toucans, sloths, and iguanas were around when we walked out in the neighbourhood. It is in a quiet neighbourhood, so the only thing you have to worry about are roosters. Roommates were great people, and we enjoyed catching up with them too. Charlie provided coffee, breakfast (gallo pinto) and an assortment of snacks to us so that we never wanted for food during our adventures together (hiking, surfing, kayaking, snorkelling), which we booked with him separate to Airbnb (see his website!). Amazing times that we will never forget :D

I have had a wonderful time here! Carlos was not here himself but he made sure everything went well. Which it did. I've never had a airbnb host who was as friendly as Carlos and his brother. I was welcomed by Carlos's brother and a couple of other guests. The room was clean and the sheets were fresh. The kitchen was clean and simple. The fridge was full with things you need for a wonderful breakfast. It's close to nice bars and restaurants. It's the closest you will get to experiencing how locals live. I would absolutely recommend staying here!

This way my first time in Manuel Antonio and Carlos was simply amazing. On the second night he made dinner for us and he made breakfast as well. He is really an awesome and friendly host. I would recommend this place. Thank you Carlos, see you soon!

Charlie is an excellent host. He provided really detailed and clear instructions on how to get to his place, which helped us to find it easily and have a seamless check-in, even though he was out at the time. He was also friendly and sought to hang out with his guests where possible, so though there are several guest rooms he manages to maintain more of an Airbnb, rather than hostel, vibe. The room is good value for Manuel Antonio, with a comfortable bed and decent fan. The kitchen space is a real highlight, though - it's spacious, clean and well-stocked. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again were we to return to the area!

We had a lovely time at Charlie's house. It's clean and comfortable, the perfect choice for just that - clean simplicity. It's a great oasis of normality in a real tico environment. Our bed was very comfortable and the room was perfect. Charlie was the perfect host, helpful at every moment, lots of useful advice and just a really nice guy. 100% recomendable.
