We have lived in Hawkhurst for about a year since moving our family from London. We moved for more green, more space and more family time. What you see of our house today has been built around a Wealden Hall house that was here in 1390. We are slowly learning what it takes to care for a building of this age. The grounds are about 2 acres which is slightly larger than my 60 ft garden in London! The kids have space to run and I've rather surprisingly come to enjoy gardening. It has been a steep learning curve to say the least!
The countryside that surrounds us is beautiful, and we have enjoyed exploring and watching the countryside change through the seasons of the last year. We look forward to welcoming you to the Kent Weald, and sharing what we love about our new home.
