My apartment is luxuriously furnished, close to vineyards and nature, restaurants, bars and a 30 minute drive from the Amalfi Coast. You’ll love the flat because of the location which is absolutely central, the coffee bar, butcher, laundry and food market all less than 20m away, the ambiance, the comfy bed and furnishings, the atmosphere of a genuine Italian Village, the history, the location right on the village square. My home is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids).
My address is literally no.1 the village square. The best Address in town. We have an elevator and are in a very safe and luxurious converted Palazzo. A local lady will prepare the space for you before you arrive and provide crisp clean towels and make the beds as required on the first day. Linen gets changed once a week. A welcome pack of basic food, milk, bread and mineral water is provided at no charge and all the bathrooms are equipped with all toiletries as well as basic first aid packs and tissues and loo paper. You are welcome to use any food you find in my cupboards which may include pasta and tomatoes as well as coffee, tea, sugar, flour, spices etc etc. I have really great cutlery, crockery and glasses as well as pots and pans and my prized stove. Please look after them so we can all enjoy them for years to come. There are soaps and degreasers and all required manner of tea towels and rubbish bags etc in the cupboard next to the stove. Free WIFI is available at Fabiana's coffee bar on the square but as a matter of courtesy have your breakfast croissant and coffee there so that you don't look like leeches :) She also does great (and generously poured) drinks. Her coffee is Illy and her Aperol Spritz is legendary. Squisito on the municipal square does great pizza slices, arancini and other snacks and the best restaurants in the village are the famous La Locandina and Il Casale. The salumeria under the flat has great and very reasonably priced cold meats, bread, cheese and all your food requirements and are super friendly. The laundry is next door but Anna Maria will be happy to do your washing and ironing at a far more reasonable price.
You can use the entire flat as you wish. The storeroom for my personal effects at the front door is however locked and private. You will receive keys for the front door and the access door from the road from Anna Maria who will meet you on arrival at Fabiana bar in the square and who will check you out when you leave.
Interaction with guests
You can call me at any time in SA for advice. A super guy called Renato works with Fulvio at the jewellery store 20m down the street to your right. He speaks English and will help you with a smile. He is also available for guided tours at a price you can negotiate with him. He can take you to see nearby Avellino, or Naples and the very close Amalfi Coast.
Other things to note
Most important. Do not travel without a Garmin or a Tom Tom navigator or you will get lost. These towns date from Roman times and some of the streets are tiny. Parking is available on the street in the square. It is very safe. Because we are not there very often (once or twice a year) the gas sometimes takes a couple of minutes to refill the pipes leading to the flat from downstairs. This sometimes means you must just reset the gas geyser using the half moon shaped reset switch on the far right cupboard of the kitchen. The reset switch is at the bottom. If the water comes out cold or the geyser does not kick in automatically just flick the switch a quarter turn towards you and all will be well :)
