Welcome to the Merewether Beach Shack!
This humble 60s shack has been transformed into a rustic, colourful beachside haven.
With all of its old character from the past, it has been styled with unique art and lush velvet couches you can sink into and watch the sunset.
The outside balcony is perfect for sunbaking and having a BBQ grill, bring man's best friend and the fam and watch the world go by.
After the sun has gone down, cosy up by the fireplace and share a meal with friends
The space
🧜♀️ After 7 months of renovations the shack has had all the mod cons added yet still holds its retro charm.
With a brand new kitchen installed and upgraded security screen doors so that you can choose to have the air con on of open the doors and let the air flow through.
The shack still has its quirks with the old 60s shagpile carpet ripped out and the floorboards given a sand and polish, they aren’t perfect but they are the original tallow wood local to the area.
The bathroom is in its original 60s era with a few upgrades and the backyard outdoor area will be open to guests in winter to enjoy a fire pit with the ocean view.
As Newy locals know cockroaches can try and make their way up into the shack so please let us know if this is an issue (mainly times of heavy rain)
The park next door is a local fav for picnics and watching the sunset but they generally stay far enough away from the side of the house.

🏡 The entire inside of house is accessible except for a locked cupboard for the cleaner.
The garage is locked for supplies and storage but there is a driveway and plenty of parking in the street.
The backyard is now open to enjoy!

The investment on your stay includes a unique experience of staying in one of Newcastles most iconic retro beach shack with all its creative decor within, prime proximity to the beach and views - an experience you won’t find anywhere else.
