Welcome to your little room that is lakeside in Tentena, Central Sulawesi. It is part of a larger house and bamboo complex managed by Institute Mosintuwu, which founded since 2009

You get a private room, hot water, wifi, and a lot more!

The space
Welcome to our the coolest thing happening in Central Sulawesi...If you are looking for an unforgettable experience, you've found the right place!

The room is part of Lian's house, a founder and director of Mosintuwu Institute. I help her to manage the room. It is her dream house that is styled and built with green architecture and local design. It is connected to a three story bamboo structure where we runs an NGO as part of social movement. It includes a library for kids, office, a women's radio station, two more guest rooms, a private dock on Lake Poso, and a restaurant. With the room you get a private porch, clean sheets and towels, a not attached but nice private bathroom with hot water and modern amenities. There is Wifi and electricity that works 80 percent of the time, which for Central Sulawesi is pretty high. It has beautiful views.

But the best and most important part of staying here is the experience that you will have. Most people come to Tentena only as a stop over between Toraja and the Togean islands, and skip what has become my favorite place in Sulawesi. The people of Tentena are a bit shy but very excited when people come to visit them. By staying here, you will get to know us, as well as see and (if you want) participate in the daily activities taking place here. It's the perfect spot to take a break, lay back and have a chat with the locals, and take a swim in the lake.

Guest access
-The kitchen
-The dock
-The library (there are some books in English and Dutch)
-The people (the best part!!).

During your stay
Lian love to travel and cook. She started to open the room as part of ecotourism project with the help of her dear friend, Sue. The idea is to help fund the mobile library that's I runs which is still underfunded. So by you booking this room, your money is going directly to funding a fantastic project that brings kids together from different faith and ethnic backgrounds that have no access to books in remote villages of Poso. It's deeply a passion project for all of us involved and of course you are more than welcome to join in with the trips. You'll be shocked how excited these kids are to see these books!

Other things to note
This is a great place for someone who is really looking to connect and experience Central Sulawesi at it's core. I promise you won't be disappointed.
