So far, this was our best Airbnb experience ever. Our host was the mother of Julie, Danielle. She has a gift for hospitality and made us feel very welcome. Her efforts to make our stay comfortable were more than successful.
The place itself is big, well taken care of, and the interior is minimalistic and stylish. The kitchen had everything we needed, including plates and glasses that look better than what we use at our own house :-) The beds were extremely comfortable with new bed linen.
The garden is huge. Our daughter loved the small tree and enjoyed climbing it. Danielle also made sure that our daughter had a few things to play with.
There's a supermarket within walking distance and a nice brocante (second-hand store) that has a decent selection with reasonable prices.
The area itself is great for walking expeditions; we recommend Auberge grand pré, the Hohneck mountain top -go there in the evening and you can spot Chamoix goats!- and the Le Lac Blanc route starting at Auberge Le mille mètres. We did all three with a 5 year old and that worked out just fine.
We spend the larger part of our holidays visiting the Alsace and Vosges. We believe this to be one of the highlights.
