Lauretta and her husband Hannibal were very kind and friendly to us from the very beginning of our stay. The apartment were spotlessly clean and was exactly like in the pictures. The view from the apartment was spectacular. We were invited for lunch and Lauretta served delicate italian homemade food and her husband wine from his own production. This made us very happy. Best reccomendations from us to Lauretta.

Staying at Lauretta’s house I must say is been an incredible experience. The flat we rent in this lovely villa is more than we expected, it feels like home. Separate entrance with sun beds and table downstairs, 2 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and lounge. Lauretta, her husband Annibale and the girls will introduce you to the Italian culture as soon as you step into their house, I have to say that I travel a lot but I never met such a wonderful hosts. We also get to taste Annibal’s homemade wine and Lauretta’s delicious dishes she made for us :). The location for us is been perfect. We got to their house with a car so have no reviews about public transport but Salerno is just 15 min driving where there are fairies that goes to Amalfi Coast, Positano, Capri and all other touristic places and the beach is only 10min away from the house. Also, if you feel enough adventurous and feel to do some hiking then the mountain is just few minutes away from the house and the experience to get in top is worth every breath. I highly recommend this place and happy to go back anytime as I know I will find friends over there :)

In 1994 under the guide of potter, Ugo Marano, initially started to mould clay to find her calling in the creativity of giving life to forms, after a motorbike accident which left her paralyzed. Her passion for this “minor” art form was transferred to social work and she founded the cultural association, HUMUS, in 1999 with an open pottery laboratory where artists, young people and the disabled meet to create ceramic works and use art as a means to organize exhibitions, events and conventions to raise awareness on the wider themes of integration and respect among the disadvantaged and marginalized sectors of society. Her “manifesto” is the power of art, creativity and working of hands in the ancient art of pottery in the Mediterranean. Her artistic path reveals itself through her personal study, by a great passion for the “beyond boundaries”, to “travel” with a close eye on life which flows in all its difficulties and inequalities and to be a cultural and social ambassador.
