Manali must be the world's most inexpensive holiday destination. A hearty meal with lots of beer costs just Rs 700 or USD 10 in a multi-cuisine restaurant. Visitors can hire bikes and go on exhilarating rides on mountain roads. Manali is a paradise for hikers and serious mountaineers. Walk ten minutes out of Manali and you enter Himalayan wilderness. For those wanting rejuvenation, there are mountain springs and yoga. Manali makes you serene and long for that life which you wish you could have.

The space
The two-bedroom cottage comes with a lounge with an eighn-seater sofa set. The kitchen has a round dining-table with four chairs. The bedrooms have an attached bathroom with a hot-water geyser and shower cubicle. The rooms are airy, well-lit with large windows overlooking apple and cherry trees.

We have a caretaker cum cook who cooks and cleans for guests. Wherever you go from my cottage, it's wilderness. Below the cottage there is a mountain torrent called the Manalsu. Walking alongside the river is plain wonderful. Old Manali village is a walk of ten minutes. The village is full of cafes and bars which attract Israeli boys and girls who vacation in India after their military conscription in Israel.

Guest access
Guests will have the entire cottage. A lounge, two bedrooms, a kitchen with a dining table. Guests can also walk around the Apple orchards that surround my place.

Other things to note
My cottage is at a height of 6000 feet above sea-level. The cottage is pretty swanky with clean towels, hot-water geysers, toiletries, everything. Also, please carry woollens as a precaution. If you are driving, you'll need to park a hundred metres away from my cottage. And then you walk that short distance to my cottage

Location

Manali, Himachal Pradesh, India

From my place old Manali is 200 metres away as the crow flies. Old Manali is relaxed, full of inexpensive cafes which serve beer, burgers, pizzas, or Indian food. Plus crowded Internet cafes where youngsters can chill or listen to music. Old Manali is full of Israeli back-packers who visit Manali after their military training. Plus there are Europeans. It's a steal here, the prices.

I've been running a B&B for the last decade. Most of my clients are business travelers who keep coming back. My life motto is one. Cut out stress from your life. Don't want what you can't afford. Don't regret your yesterdays. Hang out with friends. Don't take life seriously. So I sit in bars, see movies, travel, and fill my life with fun & laughter. I'm also a fitness freak. I stick to a cavemen diet of flesh food, fruits, and salads. . (Website hidden by Airbnb) I like my guests to be chilled out too. Essentially, I am a kind of people person. So I just like it when I'm able to host guests from all over. It warms my heart.
