The space
The Studio is in a quiet street on a small peninsular in the Waimea estuary and yet only a couple of minutes walk to the cafes restaurants and lovely shops at the Wharf.
Winter time, The Studio has a Woodfire, as well as keeping you warm as toast, it creates a beautiful cosy ambience and great for the soul too.

Mapua Studio is on a small peninsular on the Waimea Estuary yet just a couple of minutes walk to the Wharf where there are restaurants, cafes art galleries and lovely shops, a fish and chip shop as well of course, a boutique brewery which often has live music in summer.

Mapua is in a great location, central to all the Tasman region has to offer, the wineries, art galleries, beaches and national parks.

Swim or sunset. At the end of our street, swim at high tide or a tranquil place to see the day out with a glorious sunset.

The Great Cycle Taste Trail. Mapua is on the trail and there is a ferry which carries you and your bike across to Rabbit Island and on to Nelson or you can cycle to Kaiteriteri in the other direction.

The Abel Tasman National park is 40 minutes away with its spectacular forests and golden sands, a great way to spend a day either kayaking or walking.

Hi I love to create a warm, friendly, contemporary yet homely (and it will be immaculately clean) haven for guests to enjoy. I previously owned a back packers at the start of the Abel Tasman National Park and realise that providing accommodation is my thing, yes I do actually love my "job" Since creating The Studio I have become interested in living in small spaces. The Studio is set in an organic garden and I am always thinking of something new here to make it even more beautiful. You may get a visit from Ginga the ginger cat who lives here too. Ginga is optional.
