Simple private room in a great location. The house is within an internal courtyard so it is quiet. One thing to note - the buzzer at the gate for Chicatana is to the RIGHT of the gate on the street. The neighbors seem not thrilled to be next to an airbnb house and were the only u…

Response from Jude:
Thanks for your comments. I wish you had read the directions to the house that we have written in our listing and that your received once you confirmen your trip. There is a link to a document with all directions to check in, including the location and color of the buzzer, to avoid guests ringing other's bell. Is the first time we have a comment about not smily neighbors, (thing we can't control) but we have a lots of good comments to Nadia, who is part of our team and also, very friendly and smily :) Hope you will have better experiences in others Airbnb.

I loved staying at Chicatana. I could walk to everything I️ wanted to visit. The neighborhood was quiet and I enjoyed having my own room with shared common spaces. I loved the flowers upon my arrival. I will definitely come back to stay when I return to Oaxaca!

This place was the best of having a private room and a hostel mixed into one. It’s exactly as pictured and has a nice lounge around down below. It’s a 3 minute walk to the middle of centro. Would stay here anytime I’m in Oaxaca.

Location, Location, Location. This room is great for a budget traveler that wants to be in el Centro. The room was quaint, and not at all the one in the photos, but you do not come to Oaxaca to spend time in your room. Ita and Jude were terrific hosts and communicators, making su…
