Peace and quiet
This home is in a quiet area.
Park for free
This is one of the few places in the area with free parking.
Royston Station is a place to unwind, connect with nature, with family and with yourself.
If you love nature, photography, farm life, animals, birdwatching, stargazing, artesian water soaks, walking, relaxing, rugged landscapes, stunning skies and sunsets, then Weldon might be the place for you.
The cottage fronts our baby lake and is complete with a jetty and much bird life. Great spot for morning coffee or afternoon drinks.
The space
Weldon Cottage was originally used as accommodation for station hands, and it still holds onto that rustic charm while offering a few modern comforts such as flyscreens, air conditioning, and a flushing toilet.
The front verandah is set up with classic squatter’s chairs—an ideal spot to sit back, relax, and watch the world drift by.
Just inside the front door on the left is the main bedroom, featuring a double bed. Moving through to the rear of the cottage, you’ll find the ensuite bathroom, which includes a shower, toilet, and vanity basin.
The front room, accessed through the verandah door on the right, serves as the kitchenette and dining area.
In the small building next to the cottage, there’s a washing machine, a larger fridge/freezer, and a big sink for your convenience. You’ll also find some pool noodles stored there for use in the “baby lake.”
A clothesline is located behind Butler Cottage.
The “baby lake,” as we like to call it, is just a few steps from your verandah. The jetty is a lovely place to sit in the morning or afternoon, watching the birdlife and taking in the ever-changing sky.
Guest access
The cottage space is completely yours. The little store room building between the two cottages is complete with washing machine, larger fridge and freezer, big sink, pool noodles, etc and is there for your use too.
We ask that you stay within the cottage precinct for your own safety and our peace of mind as this is a fully functional working property.
Any gates that you come through that are closed, we ask you to close them behind you, otherwise, you may have some goats, cows or roos coming to visit you on your front verandah.
