Home on the water of Lake Luzerne has the perfect combination of peaceful tranquility and lively fun. Large home sleeps 10, ample living space, 3 decks, 1 dock, 1 swim dock. Canoe, 2 paddle boards and 2 kayaks to cruise the lake. Public beach adjacent. Walk to town.

The space
It is right on the water. It is peaceful but there is the opportunity for lively fun nearby. So much wildlife in the area to enjoy and a music camp directly across the lake from which you will hear music at different times during a day in the months of July and August. We have several Loon(birds) couples who make the lake their home. There is sleeping space for up to 10 guests, two living areas, a loft and an extra area for playing board games or just reading in a big comfy chair. There are three bedrooms, one with two twin beds, one with a queen and the master has a queen size bed. One living room has a queen sofa bed and the loft has a full size bed.

Where you’ll be

Lake Luzerne-Hadley, New York, United States

The neighborhood is peaceful although there are many neighbors. You can feel secluded at the home and still hear the sounds of a community around you. Downtown Lake Luzerne is within walking distance, about 1/2 mile. There are beautiful things to see, such as, the lake the home sits on and the river running through the town(Hudson River meets Sacandaga River). There is a local market where you can find staples for the frig and pantry and a pharmacy across the street from the market. There is chamber of commerce, a library and tennis courts. A history museum is located on the main street in town. Eat at The Waterhouse Restaurant (also has a bar), Mollie's Mason Jar Restaurant, or head to Adirondack Golf for ice cream and miniature golf located just 2 miles north on 9N. Finally, climb Hadley Mountain in nearby Hadley or Potash Mountain Trail north on 9N. Both can be steep in spots, but worth the climb for the view. Hadley Mountain also has a fire tower at the top to climb.

My husband and I are both natives of the Albany/Saratoga area and still have most of our family in that area. While we currently reside in the Chicago area, we grew up loving the Adirondack area and what it has to offer and enjoy visiting there as much as we can.
