The space
Welcome to On the Point — the jewel of rentals in beautiful Taylor Bay, Lake Eildon - just 2.5 hours north, north east of Melbourne CBD. Perfectly positioned - north facing right on the water’s edge, this luxury waterfront retreat captures breathtaking 180-degree lake views from almost every angle. Newly renovated and thoughtfully designed for comfort, space and relaxation, the home sleeps up to 10 guests across five bedrooms, making it ideal for families, couples, retreats and groups or remote working escapes.
Every bedroom features air-conditioning, ceiling fans and private balcony access, while large windows throughout the home showcase the stunning natural surrounds. The open-plan living area boasts a large cosy wood fireplace and comfortable lounge suite, which all flows seamlessly onto an expansive entertaining deck complete with lounge chairs and a high bar table — perfect for long afternoons overlooking the lake. At the rear of the home, guests can enjoy a large outdoor dining setting alongside a 4-burner Beef Eater BBQ for relaxed meals with family and friends.
Inside, enjoy a modern fully appointed kitchen, dedicated work office, full laundry, oversized bath with lake views, heating and multiple indoor and outdoor spaces to gather together. Downstairs, guests can unwind in the funky retro bar and pool room which opens directly onto “On the Point” — a magical waterfront space with a fire pit where you can watch the houseboats drift by or watch stunning sunrises with a barista brewed coffee from your coffee machine.
For convenience there are two fridges, upstairs and down stairs, both with ice makers and triple filtered chilled water dispensers.
Enjoy seamless starlink internet WiFi. The large main living room has a Smart LCD TV and Apple TV and internet radio and streaming devices throughout the house. All upstairs bedrooms have smart TV’s and Apple TV’s.
The property also offers direct lake access with a private jetty where you can tie up your boat or jet skis. Small boats can be launched directly from the property, while larger vessels are best launched from the nearby Alliance Eildon Boat Ramp, approximately a 5km boat ride from the house.
Your cleaning fee includes professional cleaning, fresh linen, tea towels, bath towels for each guest and rubbish removal for a seamless and comfortable stay.
To maintain our high standard of furnishings and bedding, pets are not allowed.
O’Deer supplies a dozen fresh eggs from their happy free range chicken’s, tea and grounded coffee. However, there is a coffee bean grounder if you prefer your own tasting beans.

Guest access
Guests acknowledge that access to “On the Point” is via an unsealed road. By proceeding with your booking, guests accept that driving conditions can vary and agree to exercise appropriate care when entering and exiting the property.
While the property is generally accessible by standard vehicles, guests travelling in two-wheel drive or front-wheel drive vehicles should take extra caution. The incline on departure, combined with two tight corners, require drivers to maintain steady momentum and take a wider turning approach. Cutting corners should be avoided as traction may be reduced especially after rain.
An AWD or 4WD vehicle is strongly recommended.
