Christine and Ian were extremely friendly and informative, they were very kind in letting us borrow their shoes and walking sticks for a little trek and the cottage itself is quite self sufficient. I wouldn't hesitate to pay another visit soon.

We had the most wonderful time at Thor's Cottage. The location, the hosts, the toys for the children... It was all very pleasant and lovely. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay at Christine and her husband. They are very friendly and helpful people who made us feel right at home. The house was beautiful and cozy, had everything we needed during our stay, and has a stunning view. We visited with our son who is 2,5 years old, and he loved all the toys both outdoors and in the barn which made the stay even more relaxed for us. The nature and villages in the area are something special, we didn't expect Peak district to be this good!

We had a great stay in Thors cottage. The view from the front door is really fantastic. The weather was cold but the cottage was cosy and it's well equipped. We had some wonderful frosty walks locally and in Dovedale. The Royal Oak pub in Wetton was very welcoming. Great part of the world and would love to come back again.

Very friendly hosts with a cosy, homely space. The playroom and outdoor toys for children were greatly appreciated by our young daughter, it would be a fantastic place for anyone with children. The play barn has to be seen to be believed! Weston is super peaceful, really enjoyed the pub that is a 5 minute walk away and thoroughly enjoyed the walk to Thor's Cave. It's a great spot to get a perfect Peak District experience in. Very quiet, very green, proper English countryside.
