A great place to chill & relax. Get away from the city's stress and noise, get back to nature, enjoy birds' chirping, insects' calling and wildlife. Immerse yourself in green & fresh air. Be lazy & dip in the river. BBQ, star gazing & fireflies watching at night. Camp glamorously in my unique Honeycomb pod, the one & only in Malaysia.

+ This is not a hotel nor a resort. Accommodation is basic, nothing fancy +

The HoneyComb Pod is in the valley of my organic durian orchard. The orchard has 3 HoneyComb Pods, which I believe is the only one in Malaysia or Asia. Each pod has 2 single beds or 1 queen bed, the sleeping space is 6'x7', so sleeping with 2 young kids is just fine. The place is suitable for family & pets.

The pod has an exhaust fan to ventilate the place. There is a power point to charge your phone. There is a simple curtain for privacy. There is no air conditioner, as it's quite cooling at night and day time. A fan is good enough, you will need long sleeve & socks at night though as my blankets are thin. For now, no hot water yet, but we are building a solar water heater, hopefully will be ready soon.

You are in an organic orchard, lizards, ants, spiders, mosquitoes & insects are unavoidable in the room and outside the room. We try to control so that it is minimum in the room. If you see them and you don't feel comfortable, ask my caretaker to help. Also, if my caretaker didn't burn any thing to create smoke to keep mosquitoes away, please ask my caretaker to do so.

The orchard is farmed in the natural permaculture way. No chemical is used to fertelize or to kill insects. Thus, the place looks like a natural forest in certain places, cause we try to mimic nature. Plenty of forest trees have been planted as well, though still small to make any impact, it will in a few years time. Many other fruits have been planted, coconuts, bananas, langsat, rambutan, pulasan, mangoesteen, pomelo, avocado, lemon, and many more. There is also a veggies farm. We intend to provide guests with some organic veggies in the future.

There is a river which is crystal clear where you can sleep on it to cool down on a hot day. You may get your sun tan this way too, as the water level isn't too high. I suggest walking up stream bare foot for foot reflexology. There are many different kind of fish in the river, it will be a good lesson for your kids to learn wildlife too. We have spotted eagle, owls and many different birds around, so if you are a bird watcher, this is a good place. We also have bird that make unique bird nest. At night, you may see fireflies around, especially the durian trees. Please off all the lights for best observation. Star gazing is also another good activity to do at night.

Bring your bicycles to cycle around the chinese village or to go up Fraser's Hill for a down hill leasure ride. Fraser's Hill is only 20 mins away. It is quite convenient with the chinese village around, you can buy almost anything at the village's convenient shop. If you are a hiker, hike up our durian hill and venture into the small forest reserve(I haven't ventured up personally, so hike at your own risk). Up on the hill, you can get a soothing calming view of the area. Meditate if you wish.

We have BBQ pit, and we suggest you bring your wire mesh or aluminum foils, charcoal and firewood. You can get charcoal at the convenient store.
** You may order BBQ for only RM45 per pax. You will still need to BBQ yourself though.

If you have more people, I have another cabin with attached bathroom, pantry & dinning table for 5.

Other things to note
During durian season, please try not to walk under the trees as durian might fall at anytime especially during strong wind.

As this is place is as natural as possible, there are snakes, big lizards, spiders, wild boars, monkeys and all sort of wild live. Be careful in the bushes. Bring your insect repellents, and start small fire to create smoke to keep insects away. If you don't know how to start fire, my caretaker is there to help.

Close your door at all the time to prevent insects from going in.

* No towels provided.
* No mosquito coil provided.

Ask my caretaker for help, he is very helpful.

If you bring your pets, please make sure they are friendly with chickens & cat, as well as other animals. Please make sure they don't chase after my chicken & cat.

No pets on the bed. Pets sleep outside. The odor is pretty hard to get rid off.

The room is semi open, and could get dusty easily. If you find it dusty or dirty, please get my caretaker to help. Since I am not there to supervise the work of my caretaker, please call me if there is any issue.

**** Please call me or get my caretaker to help if you have problem or not happy with the place. Many simple issues can be resolved to make your stay more enjoyable by just informing me or my caretaker.

I like to travel and love to stay at alternative lodging to hotel. After getting involved in this BNB project, I have become more handy. I believe in a unique experience & design. Thus, most of our places are done by me & friends. Many furnitures are done by me. I am now able to do plumbing work, electrical wiring(though I have degree in EE), carpenting & more. I enjoy all the challenges I faced. I believe in recycle, reuse & repurpose. You can see many of the things used are done this way. Also, I tried to work many of the eco friendly elements into my places. Latest project was a solar water heater, rain water & air cond water collection for toilet flushes. I hope you like my designs & effort that I put in. Do feel free to drop me a line for anything.
