Rock is located on the stunning Camel Estuary and offers many water based leisure pursuits including sailing, water-skiing, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, sea safaris tours and fishing trips. It has some fine restaurants, bars and shops. St. Enodoc Golf Club and Roserrow are both a short distance from Sanderling.
The surfing beach of Polzeath is approx 2 miles from Rock. This beach is patrolled by lifeguards from Easter until the end of October and very popular with families.
Padstow is only a short ferry ride across the estuary and has many Restaurants including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth. Nathan Outlaw has Restaurants in Port Isaac, which has been made famous by the TV show Doctor Martin and is only 9 miles from Rock.

I have lived at Sanderling since 2005 with my husband and two daughters. I enjoy gardening, sailing, spinning, walking the SW coast path and riding my bike. I am a Deputy Launching Authority with the Rock RNLI Lifeboat.
