The guesthouse is superclean and a great place to stay. Hiromitsu was very Kind and helpful. When I couldnt leave because of really bad weather, he did everything to help me: He called different people to check Train services and possible connections and even drove me all the way to a station where I could finally catch a train. They also gave me a fantastic lunch, because I couldnt leave the guesthouse. The village and area are beautiful and great for trips and hikes, e.g. to Walk the Nakasendo from Magone to Tsumagi.

Our two-nights' stay in Hiromitsu's guesthouse was really nice! The dorm room and bathroom were very clean and smelled of new wood. You could use the kitchen and sit in the yard in the evening. Hiromitsu was really helpful, showed us a restaurant and explained about the food and the area. We especially enjoyed meeting his family on Saturday evening during a small town festival. His daughter speaks English well and told us more about Iwamura. Many other people there were very open and friendly! The town is a cute quiet little town, but you can find a convenient store, cafés and restaurants. The tourist map in the guesthouse was helpful. You can walk through the rice fields and you've got a nice view from the top of the castle ruin. Our recommendation: Enjoy one or two days here and don't just stop on your way to e.g. Magome.

The guesthouse is clean and beautiful, with all the necessary facilities, and right in the middle of such a beautiful town. You can also easily access the Nakasendo hiking trail with historic villages Tsumago and Magome, which is very beautiful. I would recommend Hiromitsu's place to anyone, he is so kind and hospitable, and i don't doubt that this will be my favourite place that I stayed in Japan by the end of my trip!

Hiromitsu's guesthouse is absolutely beautiful and impeccably maintained. We had fun at the bar attached to the guesthouse where we ate, drank, and got to know some of the people from the town. There was plenty of space for our group of four, to and two showers available. Hiromitsu and Shinzuo even picked us up from the train station and dropped us off in Magome, and were very responsive to our inquiries. The wifi was the best we had on our trip to Japan. Though we didn't get to explore much of he surrounding area, there are many small shops in the streets nearby. Overall, it was an amazing stay and we wished we could have stayed for longer.

I was a bit surprised to be the only person there but I had a great stay at this Airbnb! The owner picked me up from the station and also dropped me of at Magome the other day, which was really helpful. There's a really nice restaurant just around the corner so no need to stock up before you come here

This was an extremely special stay for us. Super clean, friendly, warm and comfortable. Iwamura is a very lovely small town with so much to offer. We really can't rave more about this place, you kind of need to just experience for yourself. Such great value and so many wonderful surprises. The whole team were Gray to deal with. We made many memories here we will treasure. Great kitchen facilities and access to food is close. No wonder Hiromitsu is a super host...he is super! If you are coming this way, it's the best place going!

Yanagiya is an incredible value! It's only been open a year and was completely remodeled before opening. Very, very clean and excellent facilities. Hiromitsu and the staff are incredibly welcoming! Finding a place to eat nearby is a bit difficult and taxi service is sporadic, so we highly recommend you eat at the restaurant that is inside of Yanagiya. We mistakenly went out to eat, but upon our return, were invited in to have beer, wine and sake with Hiromitsu, the staff and other guests. It was a truly enjoyable evening and we wished we'd eaten there to start. We honestly could not have chosen a better place to stay. If you have the chance, definitely choose to stay here.
