Home away from home! Marcus welcomed us into his home on the first day and we felt so comfortable there that it was hard to leave after our 5 night stay. Avoca is a lovely town in the centre of the wimmera district and a short ride from the towns of Stawell, Ararat, Maryborough and Halls Gap. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as we were made to feel like part of the family and the lovely Laura, Marcus 's beautiful little daughter, was a bonus. We had most of the house to ourselves which made it very easy to cook and launder our clothes each day and sharing meals with everyone stopped me from feeling homesick!

Marcus was very welcoming, and friendly as was his daughter Laura. He made sure our stay was very comfortable. It was a great place to stop for the night and is very reasonably priced. We would recommend a stay at Laura's house.

Marcus was very welcoming and caring! His house is very accurately described on the site. Wifi is great. Happy to have a chat and sit around and also very happy to leave you be and have your own time. I got the pleasure to meet Miss Laura who was very cute! Marcus is very relaxed and I felt very comfortable. I was there for a placement for uni but will be back to explore the place a bit one day I'm sure!

The accom was very good with Marcus and little Laura very keen to welcome us both.We were given full freedom of the house including the kitchen laundry etc. with breakfast and a well stocked fridge provided by Marcus. This is a new host that is very keen to please and support the airbnb concept. Avoca has all the amenities of a much bigger town and we enjoyed the pub and its restuarant with quality food at a reasonable cost all walking distance (within 500 metres) from our good bed. We both did enjoy our stay for 2 nights at Marcus's place in Avoca and I am sure all future guests will also be happy upon departure.
