Superb location next to John Hancock Tower. Walk to nearly any attraction in central Chicago, or take a short bus or L ride along the coast to Lakeview or Hyde Park. Explore Chicago with this charming historic building as home!

I love my apartment. The building is nearly a century old and all the historic detail has been preserved: arched doorways, crown molding everywhere, fireplace, hardwood floors. It's a little creaky but it's got warmth and personality. Despite being in the heart of the city, the building is almost totally silent, even during rush hour.
The location is ideal for visiting Chicago's best spots. Nearly every Chicago tourist destination can be reached in an hour or less of very enjoyable walking. Below is a short sampling...

I'm happy to help you plan your visit to take advantage of this great location and see as many places as possible whatever the length of your stay.
You will have full use of the apartment: living room and kitchen as well as the free laundry room (I supply detergent and fabric softener). There's a master bedroom with private bathroom, and a second bedroom with a second bathroom just outside in the hall. Make yourself at home!
Interaction with guests
I will typically be at the apartment to greet you and give you a tour. If you want advice about visiting the city, I'm also happy to help. I can be reached most of the time by cellphone.
Other things to note
Keep in mind that Chicago has wild and wildly varied weather and pack accordingly. If you're coming during rainy season, consider bringing or buying a small umbrella. I own one large umbrella at the moment, good for two people, but I might be using it!

This is an apartment building like any other, so please respect our neighbors by keeping noise down at night and in common areas. No smoking at all in the apartment. Additionally, I prefer that people not wear shoes indoors (I provide house slippers). This isn't a requirement, just a preference. Finally, no parties!
I'm now a superhost! Book with confidence :) Former ESL teacher living in Chicago. Traveling internationally and hosting people from all around the world are two of my favorite activities. I'm happy to give suggestions to make the most of your stay in this incredible city. I speak fluent Spanish and English, and enough French to get in trouble.
