This south-facing barn has a light and airy sitting room with a wood burning stove, comfy sofas, a large television and a single bed. The double bedroom has an en-suite shower room, and the small kitchenette has a hob, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and basic cooking utensils.

The barn is ideal as a weekend getaway. I only rent it out on Friday, Saturday or Sunday nights, with an early check-out on Monday morning. It's already booked on week nights.

The space

The barn is in the courtyard of Malthouse Farm, where I live. It is a separate building with its own entrance, and its own south-facing front which is entirely made of glass and two French windows so that the property is full of light.

There is a small table, chairs and a bench in front of the barn for guests to sit outside.

The house is surrounded by a large garden, with a pond and a summer house. Guests are welcome to use the garden.

Guest access

Guests have full access to the garden and the courtyard adjoining my house.

Interaction with guests

I am usually available during the mornings and evenings, and guests will always have my mobile to call if they need to ask anything when I am not at home.

Other things to note

I have a collie/terrier cross, and a very old cat. So sadly, pets are not welcome.

Very cosy cottage with a lovely garden! The moment we arrived and it got a bit darker we put on a few of the lamp lights and the atmosphere was amazing! Wish it was cold enough to light the little fireplace! Highly recommended for a warm cosy stay! Kim recommended a pub located close by which was absolutely stunning!

Thanks Beaulene, I think it was a slowly leaking towel radiator in the bathroom, Sorry! Glad you had a good stay anyway ! Kim.

A stunning barn and garden, perfect for a weekend away. The barn is beautifully decorated, very well equipped and sleeps 3 people very comfortably. The location is rural, incredibly peaceful and private, yet close enough to Cirencester and the M4 to be easily accessible. An absolutely gorgeous property.

A lovely house, in a great location, with easy access to the Cotswolds. Kim and her family were very welcoming and helpful, which made for a pleasant stay and a wonderful introduction to the area.

This country retreat is tucked away in a quiet village handy for Malmesbury and the Cotswolds. The view onto the garden was beautiful and the place had large picture windows. Kitchen a bit basic but fine for brekkie and snack but great places to eat nearby. We would stay there again!

Kim's place was absolutely beautiful and the perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds. The cottage was so spacious and homely it truly made the trip so much more enjoyable compared to going back to a hotel. Such a nice green space and perfect to be able to enjoy a drink in the garden too. Kim was a great host and the communication around booking and getting directions were perfect. Don't hesitate to book this perfect Cotswolds cottage.

I am in my 60's, a mother of three children who now live away from home. So I happen to have this lovely room which I can rent out on the weekends.

I grew up in Wales, near Hay-on-Wye. I then moved to London, got married, and had my own PR company, AKM Associates, for several years. I now live happily in Wiltshire, and have been here for 25 years.

My style of Airbnb hosting is relaxed and welcoming.
