Gullyview Cottage is a private dwelling, nestled in its own garden space (not fenced) with private parking, providing guests with a sense of seclusion and tranquillity. Inside, the cottage presents a warm and intimate open-plan layout, combining the lounge, dining, and bedroom areas within a studio space. The living area has an ensuite bathroom, complete with a spacious corner spa for two.

Unwind and relax by lighting the wood fire as the double spa bath fills, setting the mood with candles, and music. For entertainment, a large smart TV with Bluetooth capability allows you to enjoy your favourite music or cuddle up in bed to watch Netflix - just remember to bring your own streaming account details.

Open the door out onto the extended deck and enjoy the sunset or the peace of the country in the morning, with the chance to spot an occasional kangaroo! Or fire up the BBQ and cook up a feast using produce from local farmers’ markets and specialty shops. We're proud to say the Macedon Ranges and Hepburn Shire regions are renowned as a foodie's paradise! Additionally, the cottage is equipped with a newly installed induction stove for all your self-catering needs.

PETS
We are small pet friendly, and your pet is most welcome, however please note our property is not fenced. We charge an additional $50.00 pet fee for every pet that stays.

We do ask you to supply your own pet bedding and pet towels and not allow your pet to sit on any furniture, especially the bed. Any damage caused will be charged to the guests.

The property is NOT fenced, and pets can’t roam free, but you can enjoy many long country walks. Please note that as this is a country area some property owners may use pesticides or pest control.

Please let us know if you are bringing a pet and the $50 pet fee can be paid through Airbnb on booking or can be paid direct to the owners bank account prior to your stay.

CHECK IN
The property is self-check in. An email will be sent to you prior to your confirmed stay with detailed directions to our cottage, access codes and further instructions.

Please feel free to contact us if you require any other information.

We live in the Macedon Ranges but are not available to meet guests on arrival. We manage all bookings and stay in contact via email or phone. We also have our lovely house carer and her team who look after our property and are local to Daylesford. Their contact number is listed in the guest book, and they are available for you to contact them in case of emergencies.

CLEANING
In accordance with COVID-19 and workplace safety protocols, we are implementing strict cleaning and hygiene measures to keep our guests safe. Our fabulous cleaner has completed the COVID-19 Infection Control Course and we use hospital grade disinfectants when cleaning.

WOOD FIRE & FIREWOOD
We have an enclosed wood burner, and we provide a small amount of firewood which should be enough for the first night’s evening fire.

Firewood is expensive and to keep our rates reasonable we cannot supply wood for a constantly roaring fire. If you want to operate the fire all day and for multiple nights you may need to purchase your own wood which can be done at any of the petrol stations in Daylesford.

The fire is a medium-sized firebox so please purchase wood cut into one-foot pieces, so it fits into the fireplace.

Please also note that government imposed fire restrictions are generally in place from November until April which means that the fire place cannot be used during this period.

Other things to note

We provide unlimited NBN Wi-Fi. The password will be sent with the check in details before your stay.

The cottage has a huge wall mounted smart TV so you can enjoy your Netflix, Prime and Stan and your own music via Bluetooth. Please bring your own streaming account details and log out afterwards.
Please don’t visit immoral or pornography sites on our internet connection.

INDUCTION STOVE
We have recently installed a brand-new induction stove top (2 burner). Please use the special induction pans provided only.

Note that the stove gets extremely hot! However, it is not hot to touch. Heat is conveyed to the special induction pan.

• The controls respond to touch, so you don’t need to apply any pressure.
• Use the ball of your finger, not its tip.
• You will hear a beep each time a touch is registered.
• Make sure the controls are always clean, dry and that there are no objects (e.g. a utensil or a cloth) covering them. Even a thin layer of water may make the controls difficult to operate

Please refer to the manual in the drawer for further instructions.

HOT WATER
Please note that we have an environmentally friendly heat pump hot water unit. Please use hot water sparingly. If you use too much hot water and then try to fill the spa you may run out of hot water. Please just wait a little while and the hot water tank will refill.

FIREWOOD
We have an enclosed wood burner, and we provide a small amount of firewood which should be enough for the first night’s fire

As firewood is expensive, to keep our rates reasonable we cannot supply wood for a constantly roaring fire. If you want to operate the fire all day and for multiple nights you may need to bring or purchase your own wood which can be done at any of the petrol stations in Daylesford. The fire is a medium-sized firebox so please purchase wood cut into one-foot pieces, so it fits into the fireplace.

Please also note that government imposed fire restrictions are usually in place from November until April which means that the fireplace cannot be used during this period.

DECK CHAIR
There is a lovely deck chair on the deck. Under the main king-size bed, you will find the long cushion for the deck chair. Please put the cushion back under the bed when you are finished with the cushion and before final departure.
