Cotkytle is a small mountain village with 430 inhabitants in the foothills of the Eagle Mountains and those mountains at an altitude of 610 m. Located in East Bohemia, 15 km from the town Lanškroun and 12 km from the ski center Cenkovice.
The village is part of cycling for demanding bikers and marked hiking trails. After we reach the red Cotkytle of Shields and the brand continues to top Lázek. Southwest after we get the green trail to the summit also Lázek, if we follow along the green to the north of the village we reach the beautiful forests of the Dry Hill (995 m.n.m.), where you'll find a lookout tower and newly renovated Masaryk chalet.
The village is surrounded by nice woods, east stretches the nature park of March. West of the village there are three protected areas and nature reserves in Dole, Selský forest nature reserve and natural monument Rustic creek. The book consists of Dole area with an abundance of protected spring snowflake. Rural forest primeval form the original fir wood type with massive oaks. Harvest Natural Monument protects a stream meandering bed Selský brook, whose banks are doing the growth of spring snowflake.
