We are keen organic vegie gardeners and love nature -we also enjoy swimming and bushwalking in the local area. Rob grew up in a big family in Healesville and enjoyed camping at Wilsons Prom and playing soccer with his siblings; Gun grew up in a big extended family in Sri Lanka and enjoyed eating tropical fruits and playing 'jungle girls' with her siblings and cousins. We have two daughters, who are 8 and 6 years old and now enjoy playing 'jungle girls' themselves!
We enjoy chatting with guests but can also be quiet if our guests prefer this.
We believe in having a minimal or positive impact on the environment, and this is reflected in our organic permaculture-style garden, rainwater tanks and solar power, all of which provide a fair degree of self-sufficiency, and in our simple life. Rob is a full-time organic vegie grower and can provide organic vegie-growing workshops.
Gun is artistic, while Rob is a writer and thinker and a former English teacher. We both enjoy sports and have a soccer field and basketball backboard set up on the property. We play tennis at times at the Metcalfe tennis courts, which are free for all to use.
We look forward to meeting you!

During your stay
We are happy to chat with guests. Or we can give you peace and quiet for relaxing, walking, artwork, writing or contemplation - whichever you prefer.
We offer a workshop on the property, Grow Organic Vegies and Milk Goats, focusing on how to grow great organic vegetables, berries and fruit, as well as how we integrate and care for goats, pigs and chooks on the mini-farm, with lunch at our cafe included - at the discounted price for bungalow guests of $80 per person for two hours. (You can read about the workshop on Airbnb Experiences.) Just send us a message to book in! The workshop runs from 11am to 1pm most days - you can come early on the day you arrive, or stay longer on the day you check-out, to attend it.
We also own and run our cafe in Kyneton called Home Grown on Piper, which uses organic produce from our mini-farm and other local producers, so any breakfasts or lunches you want can be purchased there - bungalow guests receive free coffees when you order meals!
We look forward to meeting you! Cheers, Rob and Gunilla.
