Calm and convenient location

This area is easy to get around.
Wake up in a beautiful detached Edwardian Villa in the smartest area of Hove. Six large double bedrooms (one has distant seaviews) 3.5 bathrooms, huge bright kitchen/diner. Boiling water tap, corian island & large west-facing garden. Marble fireplaces, smart TV (Netflix & Amazon), exposed brickwork, shutters, sumptuous coving, high ceilings, two roll top baths, chandeliers. 3min to Hove station & Hove Park. 14min walk to beach. Two car parking spaces. See guidebook for fun & food suggestions

The space
We want you to feel like you're in your own private hotel, with fresh linens & lashings of hot water.
It's about comfort all the way.

The detached house in one of Hove’s most exclusive neighbourhoods has plantation shutters throughout, high ceilinged rooms with ornate coving & bags of other Edwardian features including an amazing hundred-year-old tiled hallway, marble fireplaces & beautiful chandeliers.

The house has fast WiFi & a smart TV with Netflix & amazon Prime (if you have your own accounts).

The large garden has a mature apple tree. If you're here in season try them - they're gorgeous.

While the best spot in the house, for me, is the kitchen with American fridge-freezer, boiling water tap, it’s huge corian island with induction double oven, sofa, Tv area & the table seating 17 with panoramic garden views.

From the top floor of the house you have distant sea-views. Hove train station is at the bottom of the street a two-min walk away with a fabulous bakery en route. While across the bridge is The Times recommended micro-brewery & pub, The Watchmakers Arms & the award-winning Wolfies fish & chip shop. It does the best curry sauce in Brighton. Continue on down to Church Road & you’ll find a host of fabulous pubs & restaurants. There is also a large Tesco there.

Lovely Hove Park with its hard and clay court tennis courts, city bike hire, cafe, gym & children’s play-park is a three min walk in the opposite direction. There is also a 4G football pitch. Every Saturday there is a well-attended park run at 9am.

Please, check out, if you have any time, my guidebook on my page. It has recommendations of where to eat out, for good pubs, car parking, cab numbers & fun activities in the city & nearby.

We are more than happy to accommodate respectful hens (but not stags I am afraid). The house is also ideal for family gatherings or groups of friends. Thanks

Guest access
The house - all of the four floors of it - is yours bar a store room, where the cleaners keep their things and cupboards in five of the six bedrooms where they keep cleaning products.

Other things to note
There is a hot water tap. You push down the button and turn to to the right for instant hot water.

Do try the wonderful Hove Patisserie. It is at the bottom of the street. Over the footbridge passed Hove Station, Wolfies fish and chip shop is an award winner.

The pub, The Watchmakers' Arms is further along from the chippie and was voted by The Times one of the top ten craft beer drinking holes in the country.

Gorgeous Hove Park (lovely cafe, tennis courts, basketball court, playpark) is four minutes walk away. There is a newly opened sauna here at the engineerium.

Hove Station has links to London (Victoria station 51 mins) and there's a shuttle to Brighton station that goes every few mins. Journey-time about 4 mins.

Restaurants and bars are a few minutes walk away on Church Road.

There's a Waitrose the other side of the park and a late-opening Tesco Express across the footbridge on Denmark Villas.

Every Saturday morning the 5k Park Run in Hove Park is attended by up to 200 runners. It starts at 9am.

For your rubbish use the green bins outside the house. The grey wheelie bin is for glass, paper &
cardboard recyclables only. There is also an orange food recycle bin.

The stop cock for the house is in the kitchen to the right of the larder in a small white plastic cupboard just above the skirting board.

The fuse box is in a small white cupboard above the radiator in the lower ground floor.

* Please note when you stay at this property you agree to pay the £260 cleaning fee and this is for Harrison-Whites to provide you with this service. Airbnb collect this payment from you and we remit this on your behalf to Harrison-Whites. It’s not a hidden charge. You should see it on the breakdown when you book. Please contact them if you have any questions or concerns about the clean. i’ll send you their details before check in.

The fireplaces haven’t been swept so please don’t use them.

There are several locked storage cupboards in the house containing cleaning products and maintenance equipment. There is one in the basement, three bedrooms have locked cupboards and a room in the ground floor (not in the photos) contains personal things and is not accessible. Same for the kitchen.

The hot water tap in the first floor bathroom is quite hot. Best when running the bath to have it midway round.

Neighbourhood highlights

Brighton and Hove is unique. Wear what you like, say what you like - we live & let live here on the south coast and are not surprised by much. The house itself is on a quiet residential street enjoying the best of both worlds. Beautiful Hove lawns set against the white regency squares of Brunswick and Palmeira are a 15 minute walk away and are my favourite area of Brighton. Here you can see all of the world walk by from lovely al fresco cafes.
Brighton is home to the world's tallest vertical viewing tower, the I360, it has the world's oldest acquarium, the fabulously fun pier for fair rides, George Iv's former party palace the incredible Brighton Pavilion.
The Laines are a world famous quirky shopping heaven. You're also in central Hove so there are hundreds of wonderful restaurants on your doorstep while Brighton nightlife is 5 minutes away on the train at the bottom of the road (services every 15 mins or so) or a short cab ride away. You could even walk if you have 25 minutes.
