We had an overnight stop in Milan before a 23h trip back to Australia! We wanted to be close to Malpensa to get a good night's sleep before the journey. We arrived and went to the train - Simone let us know she would meet us at the station (thankfully because it's not a far walk BUT we had huge suitcases haha). After missing our stop and having to train back to the right one, we met Simone who had waited for us in the heat!!!
Also, if you do train it's one stop from the terminal and doesn't go outside (which is why we missed it - it was still underground and was super quick!) it also doesn't announce the stop ha.
Anyway, once we met, Simone took us to show us where some places to eat were before taking us to the house. The house was homely and we felt like we really had our own space. The stairs to the room are very narrow and steep, so we left suitcases at the bottom. We had a much needed nap before heading to dinner at a new place down the road, next to the Prince of Wales pub which only served pizza, but great wood fired pizza at that! No English menu, but you can guess/ work it out.
Simone was a wonderful host and made us a beautiful breakfast the next day before our flight. I think we had the best rest and rejuvenation of or entire trip! We honestly felt like we were staying with family. It was so easy, homely, clean and warm. I wish we could've stayed longer and if I ever find myself needing a room in the area again, I'll be calling on Simone! Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you Simone, you wonderful woman!!! Xx
