Mountain and valley views

Soak up the views during your stay.
A relaxing private getaway near Eumundi . A unique stay with a fire under the stars and a cast iron bath in the trees. Rustic charm with contemporary style and comfort in a rural setting with views to the rolling hills and mountains and only minutes away from the famous Eumundi market town.

The space
The Barn at Hill House is the result of a labour of love and an appreciation of 130 year old farming architecture and a celebration of dairy farming in the Eerwah Valley. The restored old dairy combines basic rustic charm with contemporary style and comfort in a rural setting with views to the rolling hills and nearby Mount Eerwah and Mount Cooroy. The Barn is separate from the main house and completely private.

The Barn includes
•a kitchen with quality appliances and commercial Cook-on oven
•a living area with comfy old leather couches and a glass fronted slow burning wood heater
•a dining area with our eclectic collection of chairs and table which seats 6
•a separate Bath House with semi outdoor bath and a composting loo with (much more than) a view
•a veggie garden with fresh greens and herbs for picking.
•a separate bedroom furnished with a Queen sized bed, beautiful linen, romantic canopy and hand crafted timber furniture.
•a double sized daybed off the living area.
•a king single bed off the living area.
•a sun filtered shady courtyard for a cup of tea under the Bunya trees
•a lawn with a stone fire circle where you can have an open fire to sit around under the stars.
The Barn has a unique charm and character and is a fantastic place to spend a few days or a week but it is a recycled barn with lots of recycled materials and elements and a tin roof. Expect it to be a little different. In the summer months it can get hot in the middle of the day but it cools down beautifully by sundown.

Neighbourhood highlights

We love living here. The main house is at the end of the driveway and our place is next door. Musavale Road is a quiet cul de sac and makes for a pleasant half hour morning or afternoon stroll. Our property is almost surrounded by a neighbouring working cattle farm.

My work: University of the Sunshine Coast
Fun fact: I never miss the Woodford Folk Festival
Local for 30 years, a mum, a wife, grew up on Lake Macquarie and in the Hunter Valley, appreciator of locally grown organic food and locally made products and art, music, the outdoors, regularly attend and volunteer at Woodford Folk Festival, enjoy a road trip out west and sitting around a fire under the stars. As a host I am the queen of atmosphere, as a guest I like to always be welcome back. Its important to me to have everything I need so I don't need to go anywhere after I arrive.
