The space
Our renovated timber farm house invites you in through the open plan living and dining area, through to a gourmet galley kitchen , cosy sitting area and 4 bedrooms.

Wander out onto our large verandah and (if you can pull yourself away from the stunning view), prepare a BBQ or perhaps you'd like to try your hand at making a pizza in the gas pizza oven. There's plenty of room for the whole family to dine under the stars out here as well, with an 8 seater table and plenty of chairs.

Once the sun goes down and the temperature drops, head back inside for some TV, a DVD or board game, or you may simply like to pull up a beanbag, grab a book or magazine from our extensive library and curl up in front of the slow burning wood combustion heater. It's a tough choice....

WHAT'S ON OFFER:
* Generously large open plan living room with comfy couches, TV, DVD player, iPod dock (old connection)

* Dining area linking the kitchen and living room, with a cabinet full of DVDs, books, board games and magazines to keep you entertained.

BEDROOMS have had a recent overhaul and I am yet to arrange new photos. ** Coming soon ** Please read configuration carefully:

NB Linen and towels are provided

BEDROOM 1
* 1 x master bedroom with gorgeous French style king size bed, its own ensuite (functional, yet unrenovated) and glorious views

BEDROOM 2
* 1 x deliciously comfortable double bed, 1 x single bed, wardrobe;

BEDROOM 3
* 2 x single beds that can be combined to form a king bed, wardrobe;

BEDROOM 4
* 1 x Queen bed, wardrobe.

FLOOR MATTRESS
Can be placed in ANY room. Please advise if you need this, which room you want it to be placed in.

LIVING ROOM
* 1 x double sofa bed
* 1 x single (which is actually the sofa, sleeping next to the sofa bed. Best for when you have 13 people)

We also have plenty of children's books and toys (stored in the master bedroom), a high chair (stored in the laundry cupboard) and portacot if required.

* 1 cosy sitting room, luxuriously appointed with comfy sofas, antique rolltop desk, a stunning view and plenty of magazines and books to keep you chilling out for days.

* The main bathroom (shared by bedrooms 2, 3 & 4) is older style and was not renovated with the house. However it is a good size, very functional and has a bath, lovely strong shower and toilet....there is 3rd toilet located inside the laundry for those busy times!
* The internal laundry includes a front loader washing machine and dryer and just outside, is the clothes line for quick air drying. If we have agreed on you bringing your DOG, they will sleep in the laundry as it is enclosed.

Love COFFEE? So do we and that's why we have an easy to use Nespresso coffee machine. You shouldn't have to feel the need to leave the chilled out surrounds of our home just to get your caffeine fix! We do have coffee pods, but you may like to bring your favourite flavours.

Completing the gourmet arrangement, we have a large gas cooktop, generous sized oven if you're feeling like baking or roasting and of course a DISHWASHER so you're not wasting any holiday time washing up! There are plenty of quality pots & pans for your use. We have thought of everything. We also have a slow cooker, rice cooker, bread maker and sandwich press.

Picture this, two families enjoying a break together - kids watching a movie or playing a board game, parents preparing a meal, cooking on the BBQ outside, enjoying a glass of wine and living the dream for a few days or more....or three or four couples on a magical getaway, maybe you're in town for a friends wedding...or maybe you've just decided to let the wind in your hair and take a trip to the food bowl that is the Southern Forests? Either way, you'll love it here.

Where you’ll be

Manjimup, Western Australia, Australia

Manjimup (home of the truffle) is a 15 minute drive from our home, with major supermarkets, Target Country, Mitre 10, Retravision, clothing and homewares shops, newsagent, bakeries, pubs, fabulous wine bar/restaurant, Indian/Asian restaurant, wood fired pizza, Chinese restaurant, drive through coffee etc.
Base yourself here and book a TRUFFLE HUNT during TRUFFLE SEASON MAY-AUGUST
There are some excellent wineries around and you could spend quite a few days here and not even scratch the surface.
Pemberton is about 30 minutes' drive and Bridgetown is around 35 minutes.
Other places of interest close by are Walpole, Northcliffe and Windy Harbour.
A couple of fun places to go include Donnelly River, Big Brook Dam and Yeargarup Dunes, but honestly there are so many interesting places to visit and entertain yourselves here, you may wonder why you've never been here before!
Make sure you carry plenty of LOOSE CHANGE in your car as there are roadside stalls abound and you can pick up some delicious produce on your drive.
A list of wineries, breweries, activities and restaurants is on my AirBNB guidebook and is also available in the house.

During your stay

I live in Perth, however will be available via AirBNB messages during your stay. (I don't save guests' numbers to my phone so an AirBNB message is teh best form of communication so I can respond ASAP. If that's not possible, then an SMS is fine, but please identify who you are and that you're staying at Hampshire Farmhouse )

There is someone close by who will be able to assist in the event of an emergency and will keep an eye out on things.

As a working farm, our farm manager might be around during your stay, however he will not come anywhere near the house and uses a different gate to access the farm.
