The Lighthouse is a thoughtfully designed studio apartment designed in the style of the Grand Marais Lighthouse. It has fantastic natural light from over 30 windows! There is impressive timberframe joinery, an actual lighthouse light that you control, a balcony, and amazing views of the harbor. One very comfortable queen bed, a private bathroom with shower, a dining table for two, and a well equipped kitchen. The Sauna is an add-on expense- contact owners details.

The Lighthouse is a very unique property with glowing woodwork, soaring beams, and lots of windows with views to the harbor. It is a separate, self contained studio apartment that sits above another rental. There are no shared utilities or heating or ventilation systems. It is soundproofed and has it's own private and secure entrance.

Hello, we are Todd and Susan Miller, the owners. We moved to Grand Marais in 2002 after living aboard a sailboat for 5 years. We found the original buildings on this property in a state of disrepair and over time brought them back to life using mostly recycled materials and our own labor and local labor. Then we built the newer buildings with entirely local labor and locally sourced materials. Todd enjoys building, designing and restoring buildings and boats, and is also a musician. Susan is a retired special education teacher and enjoys property management, thrift store shopping, and music. We are both avid travel enthusiasts and committed dog people. If you see us moving around the the property please say "Hi".
