This stylishly designed home is crafted for lovers and friends seeking precious moments and a slice of Tasmanian tranquility and beauty.

The space
Built in 2024 with passive-solar principles, Slow River's custom wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows bring the river, mountains, sunrise, and sunset into every corner of your stay. The open-plan living flows seamlessly between spaces, creating a sense of calm connection with the ever-changing landscape outside.

The fully equipped kitchen makes meal preparation a joy—induction stovetop, oven, dishwasher, plus quality basics like olive oil, salt, pepper, herbal tea, and sugar. Coffee lovers will discover specialty beans from Villino, our long-time friends who've led Tasmania's coffee scene since 2007. Whether you prefer espresso from our Rancilio machine or filter coffee (brewing gear provided), we've got you covered. Plunger and stovetop options await those preferring simplicity.

When the sun fades, gather around the fireplace—because every Tasmanian home should have one. Light the fire and sink into the cozy embrace of flickering flames and river views.

The bathroom features a large walk-in shower with skylight perfect for stargazing or cloud-watching, plus laundry facilities for longer stays. Upstairs, the master bedroom continues the expansive river views with a king-size bed, while the second bedroom offers a cozy retreat for additional guests.

Guest access
The entire home is yours to enjoy, except for an external storage room downstairs. Our listed rate covers 2 guests; if you'd like to use both bedrooms, please mention this at booking. Additional guests are $50 per person per night (maximum 4 guests total).

Other things to note
The house isn't set up for babies or toddlers. Both bedrooms are accessed by stairs, so may not suit those with mobility limitations. Contact us to discuss any specific needs.
