Over and over, our guests express that they have felt cared for, treated with respect, love being in our home and hope to return some day. That is exactly what we are trying to do...treat people like family and give our guests a relaxing place to stay.

The space
Lots of good stuff: Free internet connection via easy Wifi, outside open air deck with big screen TV, grill, table with fresh flowers and soft chairs, plus a patio for yoga, meditation, Tai Chi or exercise. Fresh linen, airy bedrooms and a quiet street make for a good night’s sleep – or an afternoon nap. Plenty of parking available for car renters in front of house on a quiet residential street. Hot breakfast, juice, and great coffees from around the world.
Even though we are in a metropolitan area our location here Chula Vista has a "small-town feel". We are within 10 to 45 minutes from all tourist attractions in the San Diego area, which includes Legoland, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Safari Park, multiple golf courses etc.

Guest access
Guests have access to the first floor, lanai, hot tub and outdoor shower. (Full bath indoors, as well.) We want you to feel relaxed and comfortable, not like you are confined in a hotel room. If you want to relax with a morning hot tub followed with breakfast on the deck, you decide. Or maybe you prefer to have your coffee while reading the morning paper and listening to the news on the TV on the deck, it's your option. Our home is your home. Relax and enjoy it while you're here.

Other things to note
Morning and afternoon freeway work traffic requires extra time. We are here to help you enjoy your vacation. If you have questions, feel free to ask. We'll do our best to find the answers.

I am a California transplant. Born in Ohio, grew up in Indiana, lived 37 years in Wisconsin, retired to California in 1996. I find people fascinating. I'm the kind who will talk to people while standing in line at the grocery store or at the theatre even if I don't know them. I love to host parties. When I host guests in my home, I greet them as strangers, but I say goodby as friends.

During your stay
A quiet place away from the race? Whether its early morning for exercise, yoga and meditation, or later in the evening after a long day out in the world our deck and
patio are designed as an urban sanctuary. This is a place to regroup, relax and rejuvenate. And don’t forget the spa. It will take you away.

Our Bougainvillea, Honeysuckle, and Fichus trees are home to a bright afternoon sun, a warm afternoon breeze – and a mini aviary for the Hummingbirds, Sparrows, Wrens and Finches who stop by, flutter about in the overhanging branches or sing on the wire. Below this sheltering canopy are sun and shade, dark green ferns, delicate white Impatiens and Clivias growing in the flower beds.

As hosts we are helping with tourist information, brochures, directions, etc.
