Brand new, modern & bright self-contained garden annex surrounded by a beautiful garden in a quiet village just 4 miles from Oxford. The city center is just 15 minutes by bike or bus (service every 30 mins). Close to the Cotswolds and Bicester village. Family friendly - we provide a cot, a high chair and toys free of charge.

The space

This garden self-contained annex offers a cozy living and dining area with a sofa, complimentary fast WIFI, a 40" TV and an open plan kitchen with underfloor heating.
The annex provides an ideal hideaway for a couple. It also works well with families. We have a travel cot/crib (for a baby or small child), high chair and toys.
The kitchen has everything you will need to be fully self-catering or just sort out breakfast or a snack.
We provide all you need for breakfast (bread, croissants, butter, jams, cereals and biscuits) and if you any special dietary needs just let us know.

The bathroom is downstairs and it offers a spacious shower, sink and a cabinet. The upstairs gallery bedroom has a double bed, a desk, and three small wardrobes. The apex upstairs has a sloping roof, so it is NOT IDEAL for tall and less mobile people.

The barn is airy and bright and it is surrounded by a beautiful garden. It is very comfortable and well lit with numerous Velux windows. It is also wonderfully quiet and secluded. The only noises you will hear are birds and peacocks!

You will have sole use of the annex, which is accessed through a wooden garden gate. There is plenty of space to park. You are welcome to use the garden.

In the village there are a restaurant at few minutes walking distance and two well known gastro-pub (15 minutes or few mins drive), there is also an arboretum if you fancy going for walks.
The area is ideal for long walks in the countryside, boating along the Thames, delicious pub lunches or browsing the shops in the nearby villages.

This annex is the perfect location for a weekend away in Oxford or the Cotswolds! There are regular buses to Oxford, Abingdon and Reading.
London is a 50 minute train ride away and there are two 24 hour coach companies, meaning you can come and go between Oxford and the capital whenever you want.

Oxford, is a world famous city attracting thousands of tourists every year who want to visit the colleges, Ashmolean and Pitt Rivers Museums, churches and to go punting on the river, enjoying champagne and strawberries. It is an absolutely idyllic way to spend an afternoon!

There is a Vue cinema close by (5 mins by car) and if you fancy going just let us know, we can offer you 50% discount :)

There is plenty of parking around the garden or in front of the garden gate.

A friend & I stayed here for 3 nights & absolutely loved it. We didn't get to meet Gloria & Matt as they were away but we never had any trouble reaching them. This was the perfect spot to experience village life whilst being close enough to explore Oxford with ease (there's a bus stop just outside the property).

Pretty escape located a short drive / easy local bus ride to Oxford city centre. Cockadoo pub very close by (walking distance) with Thai food. Cottage picturesque, noting that bed is on mezzanine level with pitch roof - so if you are tall you need to be flexible.

Interaction with guests

Our cottage is at the end of the garden and we live there so if you need anything we are always available.

I aim to help guests enjoy their visit to Oxford however long or short the visit may be. I always provide help and advice after a booking is confirmed. There are plenty of information leaflets, guide books and maps in the apartment for visitors to use and I am very happy to provide plenty of recommendations for places to eat and drink at and places to visit.
