With 7 bedrooms, 8.5 bathrooms, expansive gathering spaces, grand piano, billiard room, library, media room, and a 34-foot stone fireplace, The Manor gives up to 18 guests a rare place to stay, gather, and reconnect.
Set on the legendary Dark Horse Recording estate, it’s a place to celebrate, create, and be inspired.
The space
Dark Horse Retreat is set among the rolling hills of Tennessee, just 5 miles from historic downtown Franklin and approximately 25 minutes from downtown Nashville. Beautiful sunsets and peaceful surroundings give the property a sense of seclusion while keeping Franklin and Nashville within easy reach.
The Manor spans 14,000 sq. ft. and accommodates up to 18 overnight guests. Enter through the foyer into a dramatic great room anchored by a 34-foot stone fireplace and grand piano. Throughout the home, you’ll find seven bedrooms, ten bathrooms, three kitchens, multiple living and gathering areas, a billiard room, library, media room, and party barn.
Across the property stands the timber-frame home of Dark Horse Recording. For decades, these studios have welcomed artists including Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Shawn Mendes, Neil Diamond, Alice in Chains, Korn, Matchbox Twenty, and many more.
It’s a setting unlike anywhere else in Middle Tennessee: part private estate, part music history, and entirely Dark Horse.

The Manor accommodates up to 18 overnight guests. Events or gatherings involving additional guests must be approved in advance and may require additional fees or agreements. Please contact us before booking if you’re planning a gathering beyond your registered overnight guests.
NEED MORE SPACE?
Two additional accommodations are available separately on the Dark Horse property. The Gatehouse sleeps up to 3 guests and The Bunkhouse sleeps up to 4, allowing larger groups to stay together on the estate. Please inquire about availability.

In 2010, Crow founded Dark Horse Institute (DHI), an accredited, post secondary academy teaching Audio Engineering, Film Production and Music Business to young entrepreneurs. The programs have experienced explosive growth while offering dramatic solutions to the challenges faced by traditional schools. DHI accelerates the learning process in an affordable, experiential learning environment, and in the process is changing the way education is conducted.
