Our apartment sitting at the back of the garden behind the old family home (which is another Airbnb) will give you a private backyard living experience in suburban Adelaide. It is close to the beach and amenities, with good access to public transport and located on a quiet street. There is one bedroom with queen bed and a sofa bed in the living area.

The space
This is a 50 square metre apartment in our back yard behind the main house. It's a completely separate building so you have plenty of privacy. It can comfortably accommodate a couple or can sleep a family. There is an open plan dining, kitchen and study area with sofa that can be unfolded to double size bed. In the bedroom, there's queen bed and an option to set up a single folding bed. There is a bathroom with a basin, toilet and shower. Guests have their own outdoor undercover sitting area and a BBQ area.
We have washing machine, dryer, ironing board and iron for all your laundry needs. Washing detergent is supplied, you will find it on the shelf above the dryer.

Pleases note there are security cameras monitoring driveways in the front of the house and the garden at the back as well as in the laundry/shed/storage area of the apartment.

This is self - check in accommodation. Please refer to the check-in instructions. Guests have their own access via the driveway and garage. Our storage shed is under the same roof and has a separate entrance. Guests have their own access to the shed for laundry and cleaning equipment.

If early check-in is available, you will receive a message a day ahead of arrival.

If you need the space accessible for a wheelchair, we rearrange the layout slightly from the photos. We have a ramp for the sliding door and use that as the main entrance, rearranging furniture slightly to accommodate. Just let us know so we can prepare.

Neighbourhood highlights

We love the location of our neighbourhood - right between the beach and the shopping centre. We're also on a small street so there's very little traffic passing by. But this is an average suburb in Adelaide (not a tourist location) so going to the shopping mall or beach will require a walk or a short drive.

It's about 30 minutes drive from the airport and the centre of the city. It's 3 minutes drive to the beach and 2 minutes drive to the largest shopping mall in South Australia. McLaren Vale wine region is only a 30-minute drive away.
