Description

The space

We offer a beautiful townhouse where everything is provided to ensure your stay is as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. Whether you are travelling to Perth for business or pleasure Applecross is an idyllic location with a bustling village atmosphere, wonderful parks, including Heathcote Reserve with its breathtaking river views and amazing children's playground and the river on your doorstep.

River walks are a must! A short two minute walk from The Sanctuary is the beautiful Swan River, enjoy the beautiful sunrise or sunset or enjoy the spectacular sight of the kite surfers making the most of the afternoon sea breeze. You can even take some kite surfing lessons while you are here! We provide beach towels, cricket set, picnic blanket and even buckets and spades so you and the family can enjoy the child friendly shallow water and beaches of the river. Dolphins and black swans are seen on a daily basis!

Applecross village, a 2 minute drive or less then a ten minute walk from the townhouse offers coffee shops, restaurants, a gourmet supermarket and interesting shops to browse. Garden City and the Risely Street precinct offer a huge range of the well known high street stores, supermarkets and restaurants. All less than ten minutes by car from your front door.

The house is comfortable with a lush, green, private tropical garden. Have a barbecue or just relax on the comfortable outdoor furniture. Books, toys, lego, DVD player with a range of movies and Wii are provided, so every member of your family is entertained!

Comfortable bedrooms, air conditioning, unlimited wireless internet and sophisticated, stylish living areas, your stay at The Sanctuary will be memorable!

Interaction with guests

Your privacy is important to us, we live in the suburb where the townhouse is located so we can be on hand quickly should you encounter a problem. However we are far enough away that you can treat The Sanctuary as your 'home away from home' and relax! We provide an information booklet with lots of handy information about the area (written by us!). If you need advice just call or text during your stay.

The neighbourhood

Applecross is a beautiful riverside suburb close to the city, river and ocean. The location cannot be beaten!

Getting around

Applecross is on a main bus route (Transperth), also close to the freeway, Canning Highway and the Canning Bridge train station. Bike and walking paths are two minutes from the townhouse, these lead into the city and beyond!

Older style building, spacious & beautifully presented. The private outdoor patio area is lovely. Seating area, dining area, large BBQ and all surrounded with an attractive garden & soft lighting. Hosting 6 family members was so easy. The quiet treed area is delightful to walk around while the close access to the highway makes trips to the City, Fremantle, Golf courses & beaches quick & easy. Morag is very welcoming & friendly & had all necessary information provided in a clear & easy to read format. We would highly recommend this lovely townhouse.

Morag has created a wonderful space for her guests, our family of five were very comfortable and we loved it here! We really appreciated the thought and consideration she has put into the comfort of her guests, and made us feel welcome and relaxed in this space. It felt like a home away from home! We were very appreciative of the basket of breakfast goods (+ some other treats for the kids!) she had waiting for us on our arrival, as we had arrived later in the evening and these items made a quick and easy breakfast for us on our first morning (and beyond!). The pantry goods and cooking facilities available for guests to use made creating our own meals whilst staying here easy and cost effective, this was also very much appreciated. We found the location perfect for our short holiday in Perth - so central and accessible to so many areas - ten minute drive to the City/Kings Park, five minutes to the Zoo, thirty minutes to Hillary's (where we visited AQWA), twenty minutes to Bibra Lake ( Maps was our friend during our holiday stay!) - we even caught the train to Subiaco Oval to take in a game of Footy! A beautiful location, we enjoyed our morning walks along the rivers edge overlooking the city. It was so peaceful, we were also very fortunate to see many water birds and even dolphins playing in the river. We would highly recommend The Sanctuary to any prospective guests, it definitely exceeded our expectations. We would be very happy to stay here again if the need arises. Thank you for your warm hospitality Morag, it was greatly appreciated.

Morag's unit is exactly like the picture. I love the place, and the location. The unit is well equipped with kitchen utensils, cleaning utensils, washing machine, dryer, and a barbecue grill at the back of the unit. The back of the unit has a garden. It has one car port too. The unit has three bedrooms, each bedroom can fit two person. Morag is very generous, and gave us some cereals, cookies, and milk for breakfast. Her kitchen is equipped with cooking ingredients too. She even gave us some rice to cook. The place is clean too. The unit is 50 meters from the river, and is a few minutes drive from a major shopping center, but yet the neighborhood Applecross is quiet. Overall experience is fabulous! I would recommend this place.

Morag's place is highly recommended for anyone visitng Perth. It is located in one of the best areas, very quiet, safe to walk near the rivers. Close to the villages with many good cafes, supermarkets too. The house was well equipped with everything you need. I would definitely like to come back to this place anytime when we are travelling to Perth.

Lovely and cosy house perfect for large groups! The house was also well equipped with everything we needed. Morag was also easily contactable throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend :)
