Wedgetail View is an Eco-house in the tree-cloaked Walpole Wilderness adjoining the Walpole-Nornalup National Park. A good place to join the Bibbulmun Track or the Munda Biddy bike track. The Valley of the Giants Treetop Walk is just down the road.

The space
Peter Cooper will be your host. He will guide you from his place to Wedgetail View in the forest-a short distance away. Find his property on Dingo Flat Road by turning off the South Coast Highway (at the Valley of the Giants Road). Turn off Valley of the Giants Road into Dingo Flat Road. His property number is: 347 Dingo Flat Road.

Guest access
You are welcome to park near the house or under the entry patio if its raining. You may walk all over the property and into the forest. Pets are not allowed as there is a baiting program in the forest. Smoking is prohibited as eucalyptus trees have oils which can catch on fire and explode with heat.

Other things to note
There is a travelers booklet with information about the operations of the Eco-house as well as recommended tourist type activities inside the house. All water comes from a rainwater tank. Water is very precious so short showers are the right protocol. A canoe may be borrowed but you will need a roof-rack to carry one.

Wedgetail View has a common boundary with the Walpole-Nornalup National Park. This is a natural wilderness area with many river and beach locations to explore. The Valley of the Giants Treetop Tourist complex is a short drive away. This is beef grazing farmland, on the edges of the National Park. Walpole has a vary large inlet with the Frankland and the Deep Rivers running into it. There is an exciting explorer boat trip "Wild Over Walpole" to carry you across the vast inlet system. You can phone-book or book in Walpole. The town of Denmark is 40 minutes away by car.

I'm ESL teacher who loves the sound of foreign accents. They tell of rich life experiences. I'm passionate about using public transport. I'm like a truffle pig for the sea side multicultural vibes of Fremantle. When I travel I like to helicopter into the centre of town where I can ‘shimmy’ into the local culture. I've got a place where travellers can do that. New travel destinations take discovery time: dedication, concentration and commitment, so an intrepid traveller needs a comfortable place to crash and recover? My motto: be brave, be patient, be curious and be decent to everyone.
