Beautifully restored family-friendly house in the middle of the Vendee. Explore the beauty of the Maillezais village, the 'Abbey' or the 'Venice Verte' - all just a short walk from the house.

The large enclosed backyard is ideal for families to stay and play and to visit the sights and attractions of the Vendee.

The space
The House is one of the original buildings in the historical center of the town Maillezais. Bought in 2018 by a South African family (who use the house on a seasonal basis) most of the rooms have since been beautifully restored. The house dates back 300years and was built with some stones from the famous 'Abbeye'.

On the ground floor is a large living room and kitchen; one bedroom (1 x Queen Bed) and the toilet & bathroom.

On the first floor is one bedroom with a Queen Bed and another bedroom with 2x single beds.

The large back yard is fully enclosed and a safe space for kids to play, making a barbeque or to have a outdoor lunch. There is also an enclosed sun-room at the back of the house.

The Vendee is a popular cycling destination and the house has 2 x cycles which guests are welcome to use.

There is a washing machine & dryer in the workshop.

The entre house is available (except the one bedroom on the 1st floor which is used as a storage room).

Other things to note
The house has no central heating system installed and is therefor only available during the summer months (May - September). Small electrical and gas heaters are available in each room though.
