Be sure to read all of the policies and house rules. We were looking for a relaxed night away & excited to stay in meditation setting. We were not prepared for the community focus and felt as though we were intruding. I would love to go back for a retreat someday but wouldn't rec…

I had an unexpected cancellation while camping and needed an alternative place to stay in short order. This lovely retreat and the kind folks who work there were perfect for my needs! Finding this site was easy and checking in and out was relaxed and friendly. Jess was an excelle…

This cabin looks a lot better in the ad than it does in person. The showers have two temperatures, Hypothermia, and "Aaaahhhhhh!" No alcohol. Dead Coqui on the floor of our room that had been dried. It had been there for AWHILE. You've been warned. Very nice staff. Great cabin. …

Response from Kirpal Meditation And Ecological Ce:
Dear Blake. We enjoyed having you and I am sorry that you had somewhat of a disappointment. There is one thing that I would like to correct you on and that is that we never charge for Meditation and the use of the Meditation Pavilion which is open 24/7. We do charge a modest price of $10.00 for our mostly organic breakfast, but not for prayer or reflection. I'll inform my staff of the dead critter that you found and see if we can improve on that aspect of housekeeping. So, thank you for that. Most folks tell us that the cabins are much nicer than what our pictures show which has been mentioned in many of our reviews. As you know, we mostly cater to vegetarians as we believe in the sanctity of life and in non-violence but meat eaters are most welcome should they wish to come and follow our guidelines. KMEC is not for everyone. I wish you all the best in your future stays. Leonard

I really enjoyed my time at KMEC. The staff was warm and helpful in a genuine way and I received prompt responses to the questions I had before I arrived. I stayed on the property except for a walk to the ocean and enjoyed the breezy cabin, lovely grounds, meals, and laid-back vi…

I had to check in late due to unexpected circumstances; the host was very flexible with check in times past 8pm. The facility was very quite and tranquil. The outdoor shower was a neat experience and cleaner than I had expected. I actually stayed in a different cabin than this o…

KMEC was a beautiful, relaxing place to spend the weekend. We were cozy in the Cacao cabin through breezy days and drizzly nights. We saw wild pigs and rabbits on the land. Throughly enjoyed yoga in the morning!
