A unique contemporary loft in the hills of Faenza. It is surrounded by a spectacular garden (2 hectares) with swimming pool, both shared with the owners and the main house guests. It hosts 2 to 4 people. Contact me if you are interested in the whole property.

The space
Ospedaletto 57 is located in the hills of Romagna, in a spectacular garden with swimming pool. Despite its quiet and secluded position, it is just a few minutes drive from Faenza, a lively city in the heart of Italy’s most beautiful between Venice and Florence, a privileged starting point to explore the most interesting locations of the country.
Originally the farm tools depot, the GuestHouse is the outcome of a recent renovation that transformed the previous warehouse in one large open space with mezzanine, full of light, which can now accommodate up to four people.
The original concrete truss-beams together with the natural wood flooring create an industrial and modern environment, yet very cozy thanks to the huge tile stove and to the selection of reclaimed interior objects blended with contemporary design elements. The dwell is solar powered and heated by the wood burning tile stove. It features a small kitchen complete with all appliances, accessories and tableware, a disabled accessible full bathroom with shower, a half-service bathroom and a queen size bedroom at mezzanine level.

Guest access
Complete informations on how to reach Ospedaletto 57 will be provided at reservation confirmation. Guests will share with the owner all premises and gardens, including the pool with Jacuzzi area open from May to September, and they will have at their exclusive use an area on the side of the guesthouse. In the lush garden, flowers, ornamental plants and herbs are paramount. The swimming pool area is equipped with outdoor seatings and sun beds, outdoor shower, umbrella. The 14x7 meters pool and the 2 hectares garden are shared with the owners and their guests. All around, the woods, the olive grove, the vegetable garden and the river embellish the 12 hectares estate, to be explored by walking. The property evolved from a conventional farm into a huge edible organic garden to explore and taste in all seasons, with dozens varieties of fruits, an exuberant kitchen garden, an olive grove, the woods rich in wild berries.

Other things to note
There are plenty of reasons to choose Ospedaletto 57 besides the charme, the beauty and the quieteness of the property. You will also be enchanted by this extremely lively and genuine region, celebrated for its hospitality, its traditions and the unique variety of food, strategically located near magnificent art heritage cities and the Riviera.

Location

Brisighella, Emilia-Romagna, Italy

The property is surrounded by the gentle hills of Romagna just a few kilometers from Faenza, a city with a population of about 60,000 with a glorious political and cultural past that thrived thanks to the legacy of the local Manfredi family with the Medici in Florence. Founded by the Romans, Faenza reached its peak splendor in the Renaissance period with the booming of the ceramic art, a strong tradition still recognizable today in the number of artisanal ceramic shops and in the two Museums dedicated to this fine art - the International Museum of Ceramics (MIC) and the Carlo Zauli Museum. The first is the biggest museum on ceramic in the world, with an extensive collection ranging from rare ancient ceramic manufacts to art pieces by Picasso. The second one was created in the original workshop of the famous sculptor Carlo Zauli. Apart from celebrating his artistic career, the museum is extremely active internationally in contemporary art and hosts one of the most important Fab Labs in the region.
Many historical buildings and monuments are still there to testify the much splendid past of Faenza, like Palazzo Ferniani and Palazzo Milzetti. The city is very lively in all seasons, with a calendar of creative and innovative events that has no match in the region, if not in the country. To name a few, Cena Itinerante, Cinema Divino, MEI, Argillà, plus the countless cultural and entertainment activities of museums, theatres, public venues.
The city is also still strongly bonded to its traditions and ancient rituals, like the evocative Nott de Bisò in January and the spectacular and exciting Palio del Niballo at the end of June, which many weeks ahead engages the population in events, duels and contests rooting back to the Middle-age.
Faenza is in a most privileged position, centrally located in a territory that at a less-than-two-hours drive boasts Ravenna, Bologna, Ferrara, Firenze, Venezia, Rimini.
Not to mention the innumerable villages on the hills, with the gracious Brisighella and the unknown but extremely lively Modigliana.
