"Superbly appointed, immaculately and tastefully styled home with gorgeous views, interiors and landscaping. You can tell lots of thought has been put into making the house a 5* stay for guests. The space is so light, open with of areas to lounge in. The views from the balcony were breathtaking and we enjoyed the firepit one cold winters night - accompanies by a glass of Tassie pinot of course! - Jul 2023
A little bit about the property:
As you arrive, you will be in awe of the property’s wonderful location and natural beauty. Surrounded by gorgeous, established gardens filled with native flora, this unique timber home ties in beautifully with the surrounding Tasmanian bushland. We hope you will also spot our resident kookaburras and rosellas feasting on the ground’s olives, and abundant wallabies and pademelons.
Now accommodating up to 6 guests, the Esk Treehouse has been created as a place that encourages us to pause, to reconnect whilst being immersed in natural surrounds.
As you step inside, you will be greeted by a beautiful, timber-filled interior with native trees forming the home’s structure with the recent thoughtful extension adding new lovely spaces and further views. The new bedroom offers a glimpse of Ben Lomond in the distance!
The extended kitchen looks out on the cosy lounge and generous dining area below, with the new breakfast area offering an unparalleled view and unique gathering space.
There’s an additional sitting and reading nook in the adjoining mezzanine space – and from everywhere, you’re treated to the spectacular views.
An indoor hammock beckons, ensuring you enjoy the natural sunlight that beams into this space.
Each of the main floor cabin, mountain view and upstairs loft queen bedrooms feature generous quilts, electric blankets and pillows to ensure a cosy space and sound sleeping.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need to ensure you settle in and don’t have to leave unless you wish to. And UberEats can find the Treehouse if you’d like to order in and keep enjoying the space :)
As you step outside, you’ll be treated to the calming sounds of the river flowing below, with fresh air on your skin and spectacular views of the Trevallyn Dam and gorge. You will find an outdoor bath here to while away an afternoon or evening, with a good book or glass of Tassie wine in hand.
Two comfortable Adirondack chairs also invite you to down tools and spend time focusing on the view. Sunrises are magic at the Treehouse, with morning fog rolling through the valley. Evenings and sunsets offer a further perspective on the spectacular surrounds and mountains in the distance.
You are invited to walk around the property to spot the birdlife, and the many native trees.
