You are welcome Karida, it was a pleasure to meet you all and hope you take more time to understand Tasmania again. Let me know if you could get the book 'The One Straw Revolution'.

Sarah's knowledge regarding the Tasmanian environment and permaculture is inspirational.

Response from Sarah:
Hi Kate, I just finished brushing Pearl before I read this and yes amazing amount of fur, more than my last big dog called Boo. I am having her outside in summer now. Thanks for your feedback, there is not much accommodation here in high tourist season and I can only offer what I have. I have tried to make this clear on my sight now about Pearl and the eating table being on my verandah. I am always frightened that my new carpet will get food damaged in the lounge room. I do have a new vacuum that supposed to pick up dog hair. but I have changed the covers and yesterday gave all a good clean again before my next guests arrived for 4 days here. Scary times...hahahah! did you have a great drive to Penguin? All the best, Sarah

The house is fine and Sarah is undoubtedly a good host BUT make sure you read and understand the description so that you know what to expect! It's an hour's drive to the Cradle Mountain car park - factor that in your plans too.

Response from Sarah:
Thank you for your feedback. I am working toward Zero waste, there is a plastic bag for plastic, another for metal, a bucket for compost or chicken food, and paper for fire. Hard waist goes straight in the bin under the carport. You are right David, I am sorry for the CouchSurfer, he had to leave as he did not listen to me, a language problem. I am completely self contained now for my friends in my space at the end of the house. I do have folk come as I do need help in this big property, but be assured I am more aware of the space for my guests as it is now private. The time to get to Cradle Mountain National park is, "Moina T-intersection, turn left to Cradle Mountain, Follow this road, until you reach the Cradle Mountain National Park turn-off (approx. 20kms)." It is 12ks to Moina from my home. The turn off at Cradle Mountain near the National Park entrance about 1 k from the T of the highway. There are amazing hikes, waterfalls and places of interest that would take a few weeks if you wanted to stay awhile in this area. Just ask the locals. it really depends on what your interests are. I have changed my info about staying here, thank you David. Best wishes, Sarah

My home is antiquated, old fashioned, it is my home. We will share a common space in my kitchen. the bedrooms are private but my home has all common places so if I am home you will see me unless you have stated for complete privacy, but you must read the rules. I prefer a family…
