Located just a five-minute drive to the historic village of Port Fairy, Lot Three is a thoughtfully rebuilt and curated old dairy, designed just for two. Away from the hustle and bustle but close to town, Lot Three is the place to unwind and embrace the stillness.
The space
Preserving the integrity of the old dairy that once stood here, Lot Three has been lovingly recreated to include all the modern conveniences that will make your slow-stay a truly memorable one.
Set on a peaceful 10-acre farm, Lot Three is studio-style accommodation that is well away from the traffic, with separate access from the main residence.
With its own private north-facing courtyard, you can sip on a glass of bubbles while soaking in the outdoor bathtub, enjoy a wine by the firepit watching the breathtaking sunsets, or find a sunny spot to catch up on that book.
See the sun rise from the comfort of your bed, or curl up on the linen sofa by the wood fire and watch a movie on the Smart TV. Listen to music or just embrace the silence. The choice is yours, whatever the season.
Despite its size, Lot Three dairy comes equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Luxuriate in the king size bed fitted with high quality cotton and linen bedding, and featuring a MicroCloud mattress, topper, quilt and pillows.
Our well-appointed kitchenette has Smeg appliances, including a coffee machine, gas hotplates, microwave oven, a small fridge – and all the bits and pieces you could need to whip up a gourmet feast, if that's your thing.
Pantry basics are provided as well as ground coffee and loose-leaf tea. Guests are welcome to wander around our extensive vegetable patch to pick farm-fresh produce, and gather eggs from the chickens when they are laying.
Outside in the old milking bales you'll find a BBQ, table, chairs and an umbrella - perfect for an evening of alfresco dining.

Or just do nothing at all…
Guest access
Lot Three dairy is all yours to enjoy. We live in the main residence which is separate from the dairy and has its own entrance. We travel a lot so you may or may not see us around. Regardless we like to give you your space and privacy. But if you need anything at all, give us a wave if we are around, call or send us a text and we’ll be happy to help.
We offer self check-in/out and you will be provided with a code for the key safe prior to your arrival.
Other things to note
We are located in a rural area, as such the Wi Fi is often slow and/or intermittent. Lot Three has been designed for a slow-stay experience, encouraging you to unwind, relax and disconnect.
Where possible we avoid the use of single use plastics and we encourage composting and recycling. You will find a compost bin in the kitchen and a recycling bin in the courtyard. We rely solely on rain water, we are connected to solar, and we have a septic system. Lot Three is north-facing, fully insulated and has double glazing, and we use eco-friendly cleaning products.
Our ethos during the construction and fit-out of Lot Three has been to repurpose, reuse and recycle where we can. We hope you find joy in all the treasures of Lot Three, as much as we enjoyed sourcing them and restoring them.
The dairy has been specifically designed, furnished and fitted out with couples in mind, as such we are unable to accommodate babies or children. We appreciate your understanding.
As we have stock on the property and Lot Three dairy is not fully fenced, we are unable to have your furry friends stay. Again, we are grateful for your understanding.
