The space

This holiday house has been recently converted from a 250 year old farm into a four bedroom luxury house. It is situated in a peaceful area in Gozo's harbour village, called 'Ghajnsielem'

It includes:

- 4 bedrooms
- 4 bathrooms
- large kitchen and dining area
- recreational room with 42' TV and fireplace
- 3 balconies
- 2 terraces
- a private pool with jacuzzi
- sun loungers, outdoor dining table and BBQ
- washing machine and dish washer
- free Wi-Fi
- free foodpack
- weekly maid and pool cleaner service
- air-conditioning (available in 3 bedrooms on a pay-per-use system card meter)
- quiet location with friendly neighbours
- 5 minutes away from the Ferry Harbour that goes between Malta and Gozo
- near Gozo's best beaches: Ramla Bay, Hondoq Bay, San Blas Bay...etc
- restaurants, pubs and shops nearby

During your holiday we will do our best so you can have the best holiday possible. We can help you organize car hire and airport transfers. Our housekeeper and pool cleaner will visit the house weekly to clean the house and change the bed sheets and towels. If you have extra guests we will provide a folding bed, and if you are visiting with young children we'll provide a baby cot and high chair.

Most of the other rental houses in Gozo are run by real estate companies which usually give less of a personal welcome because they have dozens of houses to take care of and are usually less flexible then us. On the other hand, this house is family-run and we also live nearby, so while you are with us, you are secure that we will be able to attend to any needs you may have in no time.

This Holiday House is perfect to truly experience the wonders of Gozo. It is on a quiet road and all our neighbours will be locals, most of them farmers and fishermen! Many visitors are mesmerised by the tranquility and stillness of Gozo. Weather you are a group of friends, a large family or work colleges, come and unwind for a holiday you will treasure forever!

The host was very helpful and extremely understanding for our group of 8 who comfortably stayed in the house for the whole week. Please note that despite great location the place is next to main road so it could get slightly noisy. Overall, definitely recommend!

Michael was an excellent host and accommodated us despite a miscommunication regarding our arrival and damage deposit. Also, Michael's mother generously rushed over to the villa to make us feel very welcome and provided us with a lovely basket of food items. The villa was accurately described in the posting and was absolutely stunning, inside. It was also extremely large and could easily house 8 people. Our only disappointments were: 1. The Villa is located very close to an extremely noisy street due to cars rushing past. This means relaxing poolside was a little difficult, but we fortunately had music to drown the noise. 2. The BBQ is a 'bricks and grill' situation, so you will need charcoal (a lot of it) and lots of fire lighter. 3. The Pool is surrounded by walls and didn't get enough sun to warm it up. However, this may be down to us visiting at the start of June, not July or August. All in all, excellent host, beautiful villa and a lovely country.

We had a lovely stay in gozo at the villa. The villa is exactly like the photos and was spotlessly clean and comfortable. It is just 5 minutes from the ferry and close to a bus stop. Annie welcomed us And provided us with loads of info on Gozo, especially on some amazing hikes. Annie and Michael kept in touch yo ensure we had everything we needed. This us a lovely house with fantastic hosts!

Really nice Villa located not to far from the port in Gozo. When we arrived we were kindly met at the port and driven to the villa by Michael's parents which was really kind. They pointed out a few local places, shops / bars etc on route On arrival, there was a nice basket of basic foods and drinks awaiting which was a nice touch. The villa was great, good sized pool and rooms. All very clean, tidy and comfortable. Balcony's on the top floor were large and got a good amount of sun, and we spent a lot of time hanging out near the pool. Locally, i'd recommend the local bar in the square as well as the fish market just up the road. Overall Michael was a great host, the villa was a lovely place to stay and would recommend to anyone looking to visit Gozo.

The villa is lovely - huge, three-floors, with comfortable beds and a good kitchen. Michael's mother let us in and welcomed us with a lovely basket including milk, eggs, ham, cheese, bread, local soft drink (a new favourite!), juice, beers, and yoghurt. The villa is clean and feels very homely, with lots of indoor plants, books, artwork on the walls etc. It is also very conveniently located - a 15-20 minute walk to Mgarr harbour (where the ferry leaves from, and where you will find several nice restaurants), and a quick taxi journey to most places on the island. Unfortunately, the location is not as quiet as the description implies - while the road the villa is located on is quiet, the pool area backs onto a very busy, noisy main road, which meant that we weren't able to enjoy the pool area as much as we would have liked to.

Michael was a very helpful host both before we even arrived in Gozo and during our stay, with recommendations for airport transfers, and some of the best places to visit. The house is an amazing property, the stone keeps the house cool and there is lot of space - the BBQ area and pool was particularly welcomed and is a sun trap for most of the day. Locally there is a small bakery / convenience store five minutes walk away, with a larger supermarket not too much further. There is also the best fresh fish from the fish mongers at the top of the road. We chose to walk and the harbour area with bars and restaurants as well as the ferry over to Malta, was about a 20 minutes jaunt - although its easy enough to get around on public transport and taxis if you prefer. We had an amazing time in Gozo, everyone was very welcoming and we would certainly return - especially for the golden sand beaches, glorious sunshine and rich sealife

The house is fine just a little bit dark because of the bad weather we had in October. Host was great and very helpful.

Response from Michael:
Yes it's a shame you had bad weather during your October visit. Hopefully you will come back when the sun is shining! :)
