Other things to note
Elevate your stay with the experiences of Glen Donald Estate.
Optional farm experiences are available on weekends, school holiday periods and public holidays by prior booking, subject to season, weather and normal farm operations.
Each season offers something different. From ANZAC Day weekend through to the June long weekend, guests may have the opportunity to hand-pick olives from the grove and learn how to brine their own olives to take home and enjoy.
From May to July, the farm comes alive during lambing, with around 250 newborn lambs arriving across the property. From September to October, kidding season brings the charm, chaos and comedy of mischievous young goats.
Guests may also have the opportunity to meet some of our much-loved farm residents, including Andy, Jack, Luna and Lavender, our hand-raised goats, Molly and Polly, our Babydoll sheep, our alpacas, Seamus the Highland steer and Johnno the bull.
To make your visit even more memorable, freshly made scones, a ploughman’s platter or a wood-fired pizza dinner can be pre-ordered for weekends, school holiday periods and public holidays, subject to availability.
Guests are also welcome to visit the Glen Donald Estate Farm Store during opening hours to explore our Australian Extra Virgin Olive Oil, seasonal produce and local offerings, and to learn more about the history of the Glen Donald name, its founders and the restoration of the estate.
The surrounding region is also well worth discovering, with the Cowra Japanese Garden, local wineries, brewery, Grenfell silo art and the beautiful villages and landscapes of the Central West all within easy reach.
