Great location for a summer trip to the area! Lots of amenities in the house and just as described.

May be one of my favorite mountain stays I’ve had! Definitely will be back!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! Catrina was super responsive and kind, and the house was exactly what we were looking for. It was a small, compact, and relaxing home base to explore New River Gorge. A modern bathroom, a nice hot tub, a small fire pit, a scenic backyard, and a fun cabin feel. I definitely would recommend this stay.

our stay in your cabin was wonderful! we fished a little and took in Mt. Airy and surrounding Fancy Gap and then come back and relaxed in the Hot tub. Cabin was decorated so cute and very clean, will definitely stay again when we are in the area!

We were looking for a cabin, hoping to find a quiet place to rest, relax and recharge in nature. We never dreamed that we would find an authentic 18th century cabin located in the forest on a mountain top - with an excellent view of the surrounding mountains. The inside of the cabin was beautifully furnished as would be expected in colonial Virginia. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the experience of stepping back in time.

Very quiet and peaceful location with farm/country scenery all around. Cabin was cozy and comfortable ... ideal for a couple. The host was very responsive and also informative about nearby points of interest. We enjoyed our stay.

I booked this little cabin for a peaceful weekend getaway, and it was exactly what I needed. Tucked away in the woods, it offered the perfect setting for solitude, reflection, and some much-needed forest bathing. I turned off my phone and just let myself unwind in nature. If you're looking for a quiet, cozy escape to reset and recharge, this is the place.

I had a last minute stay at Kelly’s cabin, and it was so peaceful! The surroundings are beautiful and so wonderful to hear the rushing creek next to the cabin. The hot tub was a much needed respite from a very busy week! Beds are comfortable and the cabin is well laid out. I look forward to returning!

This was our first time staying at an AirBnB and will not be our last. We were impressed! Paula’s SheShed was amazing! The view alone was worth it, you feel as if you are on top of the world. The SheShed is rustic looking but that is all that is rustic. It has everything you could ever want and Paula made sure you knew where everything was. She even went as far as leaving us a bottle of wine, glasses and a card from a local winery since she knew we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. The place is clean, very well appointed. There is even wood for the fire pit and gas for the grill. The bed was very comfortable and plenty of pillows which is something I’m picky about to my Husbands frustration, lol! If you are going to just relax, explore the area or just vegetate for a few days this is the perfect place. It is quiet and relaxing. Sparta and Mt Airy aren’t far if you need more.

Just book it!! Y’all, this place is amazing. The photos don’t even do it justice, it’s just too pretty to describe! Not a single detail is missed, and the views are incredible. This cabin just feels like home. Alison has so tastefully decorated it, and it feels like a luxury space with cozy elements in every corner. It’s SO clean—smells so fresh, everything is pristine. The covered porch is obviously incredible, but we also adored the fire pit area for the views and seclusion on top of the mountain. Yes, the driveway is tough, but it’s 100000% worth it once you’re up there. Like the host states, as long as you have 4WD, you’ll glide right up (just take it slow)! We had no trouble in a pickup with 4WD. I promise, it’s not nearly as steep as it first seems once you actually drive it, and it is sooooo unique and incredible up top!! I would live here in a heartbeat. Trust me, just choose this place! Alison was a wonderful host as well, and so helpful and friendly :)

No cell service. No Wi-Fi. Pure bliss! This is a truly special place where I felt I finally found the peace I needed. There were beautiful places to walk on the property with magical winding trails and multiple bodies of water to visit along the way. There was a fully set up kitchen with everything you would need to cook your meals. The views were beautiful and the kinds of birds and horses were all that ever greeted our ears each morning. I wish I could have stayed here for the rest of my life! If you love the outdoors, great local spots to eat (the old dairy and Gristmill were divine), horses and dogs, hot springs to soak in.. THIS IS GONNA BE HEAVEN FOR YOU!

We had a great stay at the cabin. It was exactly what we needed for a long weekend away. Beautiful scenery, quite area, and great use of a small space. We look forward to staying again.

Our stay at Hat Creek Camp was short but exceptional. I wondered if we would have enough to do outside of wind down, which was our primary goal. I had no phone service on my apple which was fine with me. My husband’s Samsung had a signal, go figure. We were there to disconnect and let our dog run free. I’ve never seen her so happy, jumping in the lake and stream. Time flew walking the trails, being on the lake, barbecuing and just sitting by the fire pit. I thought we’d need cards but there was no time. The cabin was small but clean. There was nothing that we needed that wasn’t supplied. I wondered why past reviewers mentioned the bed but it was comfy enough to mention. My dog cried after we were gone 10 minutes on our way home. Thought she needed to potty but after a break and 3 hrs home she never went. I think she was missing camp and didn’t want to leave. I know we didn’t.

The perfect getaway for us and our two pups. A great location to get away, disconnect, and relax. Peaceful, secluded, gorgeous surroundings. No noise except the nature all around you. The cabin itself has everything you need to feel right at home. As well-appointed inside as it is rustic on the outside. Comfy, cozy, and clean. Can't wait to come back!

Stephanie's little cottage was just as pictured. The bed was very comfortable as was the furnishings. We took advantage of the well stocked kitchen making about half our meals in house. We enjoyed sitting out in the screened porch both in the mornings and evenings. There was ample parking for our truck, small motorcycle trailer, and two bikes. It might not be the easiest to find but it is very quiet and peaceful once there. Groceries and restaurants are conveniently close by but the cottage has the feeling of being away from it all. We saw two friendly woodchucks almost everyday and two deer bedded down in the yard right outside our door. We rode the Blue Ridge parkway, which is accessed about 15mi from the cottage, at the James River. Heading south we climbed to the Peaks of Otter topping out at 3950ft. Heading north we made it to Whetstone Bridge before turning around. We found Stephanie's little cottage to be the perfect place to stay while exploring the area.

If you’re looking to get away from a busy lifestyle & need to unwind , the cabin is the perfect place. Not many places you can lay in bed & watch the sunrise. Truly a very special place & my husband & I feel very blessed to have spent a weekend there.

We had a wonderful, relaxing time. Creekside Cottage is the perfect place to get away from it all. Alicia is a terrific host. Her recommendations were spot-on. I appreciated the little touches like a snack basket.

Pieter and Jenna’s cabin is a lovely, modern tiny home! It was a wonderful, peaceful place to stay for a weekend, and a great base for exploring Smith Mountain Lake and Peaks of Otter. The kitchenette is well stocked and the entire place is extremely clean! We enjoyed the back deck for meals, when it wasn’t raining.

This place was as advertised and a perfect peaceful getaway with cows within yards of the cabin. Wil was also a very gracious host and made our stay well worth it.

This place was amazing. A beautiful, comfy hide-a-way right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin was very clean and everything we needed was available. The host, Rebecca, was fantastic. She was very responsive and provided exactly what we needed before and during our stay. The artsy and amazing little town of Floyd, VA is about 15 minutes away and has anything you could possibly want and the drive to get there is breathtaking with multiple scenic over looks and a few parks and campgrounds in the area. There are multiple other beautiful little mountain towns within an hour drive of the areas as well such Mt. Airy, NC(home of Mayberry). We will definitely be back!!!Do your self a favor and book this wonderful little place. You will not regret it.

Notes for travelers: Must love animals Steps up to loft Cell service spotty in that county for AT&T at least so make all your important calls before you get there and then just enjoy Selah’s ❣️

The cabin was spacious with a cozy feel. It had everything we needed to enjoy with our little one including a nice wooden high chair!
