Gundaroo retreat is located on the fringe of the Barossa Valley and set on 50 acres of picturesque land with rolling farmland, trees and hills. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a girls weekend away. The cottage is set in a scenic location and provides a pleasing blend of rustic charm with modern conveniences. It has 2 bedrooms with queen size beds, a cosy wood fire and a lovely deck to relax and enjoy your morning coffee. We provide breakfast provisions for the first day of milk and cereal.

The property was rebuilt from the ground up in 2017, blending original timber beams and local stone with contemporary design to offer guests a haven of peace and comfort. Set on 80acres in the heart of the Barossa Valley this private, self-contained guest wing is surrounded by vineyard and gardens. Our retreat gets you back to nature... with vineyard and scrub walks, (accompanied by at least one of our Border Collies), friendly geese, an inquisitive free-roaming peacock, hens, rescued & wild kangaroos, the occasional Koala and a myriad of birdlife. Take in the views from the verandas, sit by the campfire (during the cooler months) or relax in the hammock.

‘Crush’ Guest Room is part of the original homestead on the property over 160 years old that Dean and Lou Hewitson have lovingly restored. Stay on a working vineyard and winery in the epicentre of Barossa Valley and enjoy unbridled access to all the Valley has to offer.
