Nestled in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, this recent addition to an (ex) 1800s pub is a cosy yet spacious self catering space. Opposite an old church with views across the valley it offers an an ideal getaway with walks in every direction and outdoor activities (canoeing, climbing, horse riding) further afield. Local events include: The Abergavenny Food Festival, Crickhowell Walking Festival, Haye Literary Festival, The Green Man. The village is two miles away with shops and pubs.

Orchard View is a 14th-century black and white farmhouse sitting alone in 250 acres of working Herefordshire countryside. It is the kind of place you arrive at tired and leave restored. The cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms, with original beams, thick stone walls that hold the warmth, and a wood burner at the heart of the living room. Spacious one bedroom cottage, barn conversion. Called Bumble Bee cottage because of all the bumble bees in the flower garden and wild flowers. In a woodland setting one and a half miles from Llangorse and three miles from Talgarth. On a farm with sheep and horses, within the Brecon Beacons National Park and dark sky reserve. Underfloor heating, wood burning stove, king size bed and double bath with shower. It has a few steps inside and out. Well behaved dogs welcome upon request.

Transformed from my everyday potting shed, it’s now a spacious, warm and welcoming hideaway for two which I’m very proud of.
