Amazing location to switch off and relax. The place is pretty basic which is fine but it needs a bit of TLC. Would be great to have the wood at the house and not having to ask for it all the time. Worth visiting for sure for the location and views/walk around the private estate.

Jill was an amazing host! So proactive with giving us recommendations and just checking in with us before and during our stay! Response time was always very quick! The home itself was so cosy and perfect for my weekend with friends. We were greeted with a bottle of Prosecco and chocolates on the dining table which was lovely. The beds are super comfy and so is the couch. The only criticism I have is that because the stove is an induction hob, it just took longer to cook things than it would’ve on a gas stove which is what I’m used to but other than that, we all loved our stay and would definitely consider coming back and recommend to anyone’s wanting to visit Cotswold.

The photos do not do the Drydock Cottage justice - it is even more beautiful than it looks in the photos and also a lot more spacious. The attention to detail and every element of the design that has gone into the conversion of this building is second to none. The location is also absolutely perfect - so peaceful, tucked away in gorgeous grounds with a view straight out onto the canal and across over the valley to the mountains beyond. I could have sat and watched the world go by, including the families of ducks, all day. The home made goodies were very welcoming and I loved every minute of my stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place for people looking to escape to somewhere unique and peaceful.

We stayed here as a family to celebrate my wife’s 30th birthday, and it was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we arrived, the property was exactly as pictured—beautiful, spotless, and thoughtfully designed with everything we could possibly need for a relaxing and memorable stay. The living spaces were spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone to unwind. The kitchen was well-equipped, which made hosting a birthday dinner at home a breeze. And the views? Absolutely stunning—waking up to those each morning was a treat in itself. Our host was incredibly responsive, welcoming, and helpful throughout, which made the experience even better. From local recommendations to thoughtful touches around the home, we felt genuinely looked after. It was the perfect setting for a special occasion, and we’ve come away with some truly lovely memories. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious getaway. Absolutely stunning location, right on the water front with access to the lake via the veranda/pontoon. Everything you could wish to ask for to celebrate a big birthday with the family. Highly recommend.

Can't speak highly enough about the experience of staying in Sarah & Stuart's lovely house, which is very well located , in superb condition with excellent amenities. Sarah was incredibly helpful throughout - both prior to check in, during our stay and after. She was very responsive and always on hand for questions. We were a group of 4 adults and 4 children and the house was perfect and we hope to be back. Highly recommend!

Angela was a very welcoming host. Chocolate cake and provisions in the fridge on arrival! The cottage is full of character. We stayed in the cottage as a base for the Hay Festival and it was a very easy trip to go to and from there.

A real home from home.The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could need including tea, coffee and sugar and cooking essentials. The biscuits and fresh milk on arrival were thoughtful. The luxury toiletries were gorgeous and it felt like a hotel with the fluffy white towels and dressing gowns. Great quiet location with a private rear garden really fantastic for our two pooches and our Son to be free to play safely. The decor was really stylish and the whole feel of the cottage was welcoming. The provision of all the games and books kept everyone entertained and we slept well in the comfy beds. We recommend a visit to the Cotswolds water park for active families for kayaking, aqua venture and paddle boarding etc but it’s quite pricey ! For pub food we went to The Somerford Arms great atmosphere and only 5 minutes drive away. For your food shopping there is an Aldi or Waitrose 15 minutes drive away. Thanks again

A truly magical, cosy, and charming cottage! It was perfect for us, our daughter and our dog - we only wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely visit again.

We were a family of 4 and really enjoyed our time at the Cottage. It felt very homely and we spent every evening sitting upstairs admiring the spectacular view or sitting in front of the fire playing the huge selection of board games that were in the house. Despite the inclement weather we did not have any issues driving to the cottage without a 4x4 and loved the quiet and secluded nature of the cottage. We did a lovely walk from the house to nearby Bala and then got the steam train back and then it was just a 10 minute walk up through some fields back to the cottage. Although there was no WiFi we had no issues with reception so kids were happy! Really friendly and responsive hosts. I would highly recommend this place.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Charles' charming Airbnb in the quiet countryside, and it was truly a delightful experience. From the moment the booking was confirmed, Charles was a friendly and accommodating host, answering all our questions and making us feel right at home. The location is perfect for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. The tranquility of the countryside was exactly what we needed, and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area. One of the highlights was the local pub, which offered a warm atmosphere and great food, just a short walk/drive away. The property itself is fantastic, secluded away in the countryside. The tennis courts were in excellent condition, and we had a great time playing. Additionally, there was a variety of games available, which kept us entertained during our downtime. Really enjoyed our stay and seriously considering a return visit next year.

Allison was so helpful and responsive! Staying here was delightful. The flat was authentic and cozy and she took great care of us! Greeting our stay with fresh roses and our leave with scrumptious cookies. The view is incredible in the terrace and the street so quaint! Stay here❤️

A girls night away in the cabins and we wanted to stay forever longer! When we arrived we were so shocked by how stunning it was, so quiet with only the sound of the river and the most stylish cabins and good sized hot tub. It had everything we could've needed and a very high tech air fryer. Anthony was very responsive and friendly and came out in the evening to fix a lightbulb for us. The hot tub was beautifully clean and a lovely temperature. I have sent links to all my friends and family because you must see this place! Thank you so much, and we will be back! Xx

I loved my stay at Riverside Cabins it was beautiful and peaceful and everything we needed! We are going to make this our annual anniversary because it’s just everything you need for a romantic stay! It was so clean there was absolutely no faults what so ever!

We stayed at Riverside Cabins as a surprise for my husband's birthday. From the time of booking, with help to have balloons in the cabin prior to our arrival, to organising the hot tub to warm up quicker as we were only staying for 1 night, everyone was so friendly, accommodating & extremely helpful! I couldn't recommend this place enough! The location is no more than perfect! It was a freezing cold night (-2 i think) which gave us the beautifully clear skies on which to view the stars from the hot tub. I couldn't think of a better place to have been on such a perfect night! Luckily we live local so will definitely be staying again and I have already recommended Riverside Cabins to my family and friends. The cabin was clean, warm and cosy, well equiped & beautifully decorated with a very comfy bed. Loved it! I would say more but I'm running out of the allocated number of characters! Quick you need to book before you miss out on experiencing such a perfect location! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is an excellent place. Anthony has gone to exceptional lengths to make this the kind of place that he himself would have wanted to holiday in. The grounds are vast, the chalets are well spaced out, there is a sense of real peace and tranquility - the sound of running water from the nearby river, birds chirping, nearby woodland, stand up paddle boards and sit on canoes available to borrow free of charge to meander down the river with. The accommodation itself is very well thought out and very good quality. Even in the compact chalet which we were in there was a large walk in shower and plenty of covered space outside in which we could have our meals and relax. Hot tub is well maintained and was already warmed for our arrival. We came here to have a base from which to take part in the Ultimate Triathlon at Ellesmere. We'll certainly come back and stay here again next time.

We spent a wonderful two nights here. The lodge and the location were beautiful. There was so much to do for a short break with a warm, modern swimming pool, sauna and steam room kept immaculately and on-site spa treatments. I had two massages and they were both incredible. The service from the whole staff was excellent, including lodge delivery service for food. The children had a wonderful time and so did we. We’ll be back! A lovely, immaculate place to stay loved how rural it was. A place I would defiantly return to in the future. great hosts
